This song is like a classical symphony, sped up and transmuted into a modern day format, receptive to the ears of the youth. The complexity, the build ups, the crescendos, the heart breaking chord changes.. Absolutely genius. There is noone else today that rivals this man's genius. He must be a reincarnation of Mozart or one of the greats. Love and respect Julian. I hope you can see all of these messages. ❤️

He's a rockstar in a world full of popstars and wannabe rockers. Because of musicians like him, I can feel confident when I say that there is still honest and real music being produced these days. Too often it's hidden behind the corporate money schemes many "artists" are today. Is anybody else sick to death of bands that sound like whiney 14 year olds and awful rappers "singing" about how much money they have or how tough they are?

We might be in for a late night Stuck in a lava flow of brake lights I can hear a rattling bass drum driving back to where it came from Sit back I shop therefore I am the cause, protect me from what I was Getting the hang of it, getting the hang of it, getting the hang of it, getting the hang of it Getting the hang of it, getting the hang of it, getting the hang of it, getting the hang of it Timing is everything, timing is everything, timing is everything, timing is everything Timing is everything, timing is everything... I'm at your feet, where critters meet Who should be asleep and not crossing roads or highways In the afterlife of super cities, rapidly devouring its outskirts It's neon octopus arms redecorating late at night Robot camp for kids who hate sports Mothers crying at the airport Finding the dreams you left behind to do, waving goodbye your young heart cries for you Sit back You're finding it hard to get very far But we were born waiting in line Grabbing the future by the eyes Getting the hang of it, getting the hang of it, timing is everything, timing is everything Getting the hang of it, timing is everything, getting the hang of it, timing is everything Timing the hang of it, getting is everything, Getting the timing of everything hanging is Hanging the getting of timing the everything... Like batteries we die, like rivers we dry We fuel and recharge, that's humans and cars My fun, my sun, be my homework done Where did you go, you were my ride home Is that what we want, is everything shot, is that what you ask for, 'cause that's what we got? Nothing stands still Nothing stands still

"I'm at your feet where critters meet" Damn that just hits the spot for some reason. Since I was old enough to discover music, I've been (for lack of a better word) infatuated with Julian and his work. No matter what band he sings for or if he is simply solo, I have never not enjoyed or appreciated his work. The imagery is impeccable! He has so much to say, So much knowledge to offer. The man is a genuine genius. Never change julian. Never.

I can’t believe he says “critters meet”?! For the last 13 years I thought it was “craters meet”. I always pictured some epic end of the world apocalypse going on and Julian (Self Insert) risking it all to get to her to ask for one last chance haha. Like actual craters erupting from the ground, but nothing comes between me and my lady haha and per usual gets burned in the end… “is that what you asked for, cause that’s what we got…” Probably should’ve looked up the lyrics. Fuck it, I like my interpretation ha… craters it is.

Leyjam Touchie yeah they are
@matthewgalvano724810 жыл бұрын
Leyjam Touchie I mean, they are not pop in terms of their place in the world of music. They don't receive radio attention like pop acts. But I would say that their sound is heavily influenced by pop music from the 80s and 90s (and in some cases, the 50s, 60s and 70s). I suppose "alt rock" may be a better classification, though. I guess I think of it as ear candy, which makes it "poppy" in my world.
