this sounds so 80’s, yet futuristic at the same time. hard to find the right words to describe it. such a good track and i still get this song stuck in my head constantly.

tyranny is like if julian was holding all his creativity for years for whatever reason and then he got to release it all at once. and that's what makes the record so cool and different. it's not subtle like julian's other work. its all-out

4:40-5:25 is my absolute favorite part of this amazing song. When man has conquered the earth he will have destroyed himself His appetite will devour the earth and leave behind only a desert The end of living & the beginning of surviving, Our land, our brother we treat like an enemy But "when man has conquered the earth he will have destroyed himself The end of living & the beginning of surviving. Our land is a brother we treat like an enemy, oh oh Cause nothing exists except molecules and empty space, oh oh The moon is cracked I think it looked at me and grinned The room is packed I look around and now it spins Cyborg, I need to sit down, I need to shut up Universe everything's wrong, I think I fucked up...

My favourite album this year, and much more than the auditory cheesecake that most other music ends up being once you get your fill....anyone who's into this album will agree that after a little bit of a listen, all the songs are more than melodic, all of it, and as far as Nintendo Blood, how perfect is the build up to the final lines....just perfect.

The first time I heard this song I thought it had some catchy parts but it was weird and too long. Now I kind of still think that but I also see it as an original piece of work and almost as a masterpiece of sorts with some very catchy parts. It also feels like there are at least two songs mashed together here. The chorus ( Imprisoned us in a song ) is so catchy and memorable and it's a shame that it is repeated only twice in such a long song but maybe that's the point. Also the outro is such a mood changer but it's also very empowering and you kind of want to say-'fuck, yeah' but it's over but the time you do. This song is a bit of an acquired taste but it's pretty great in the end. Very interesting listen each time I hear it.

After the ending of this song and of "Dare I Care," it's like massive relief after a workout, a fight, an orgasm, and enormous grief all setting in at once. It's exhausting and completely satisfying and magical all at once. That's musical and artistic talent right there.

AyazyamMedia Sorry dude I didn't mean to cry in public. I come off my bike 15 years ago and my health has been deteriorating ever since. I've had so many battles with family, poverty and depression and during all this time I found solace in Julian's music. I am thankfull to him and I want the man to continue banging out class records. I have been buying his music for over 15 years dude but just a little gutted I have yet to see him live. I think the evolvement from The Strokes to The voids has been epic and a wise artistic decision on Julians part. My drug of choice: River of Brake lights. God Bless You All. Stop The Fucking Wars! PEACE
