Saw a video a while back where Chris said "I'd love to have a guitar like this one (Julian's sick new collings) in a dreadnought" - Collings must have heard! Also, when will acoustic guitar builders figure out the angled-strings out of the nut thing? I'd love an acoustic with a headstock like a music man... of collings and ernie ball teamed up to build an acoustic... i'd sell a kidney for it.

I think the om1a has a more mid focused cutting sound. The d1a is more scooped. Both so good.

Julian Lage uses d'adario nickle bronze 1253 on his collings omjl. But most collings are stringed with d'adario phosphorus bronze as their standard strings.
