That was legit one of the craziest performances I’ve ever seen. It’s so human, while at the same time it feels like I’m listening to an alien playing. I was completely mesmerized by the middle section where he went off to a completely different place and explored the unknown, and somehow got back. Just beautiful.

100% how I feel. It's the most humanity I've ever felt through a clearly virtuosic player.

I got to see this concert at Cadogan Hall on Thursday and it was one of the most incredible musical experiences of my life. How one man can produce so much music with one guitar is beyond me. He is quite simply a genius. Thank you so much for a brilliant tour!

I was extremely lucky and was sat directly in front of Julian in the front row for this. An absolutely stunning set.

Absolutely fearless and brilliant! JL can be sublime and cantankerous almost at the same time within one song. Who does that these days on stage with just an acoustic guitar in hand... very few Musicians, imo. His pieces are journeys that take you places sonically that seem spot on and to places you didn't think you were going to, but eventually right back again. A definitive Musician in this time and place. The 'improvisations' are mind-boggling and seem to be in the moment at every turn. I have not seen JL live in person, someday though, I'm hoping... For now, these videos are supreme, THANK YOU!!

Saw him in Glasgow a few weeks ago. Astounding. I will try to see Julian play live at every opportunity from now on. What an amazing musical experience he provides with one guitar. Just sublime.

I wonder what gage string he’s using. Playing acoustic that long has got to a ridiculously hard to do and he never misses a note.
@jamiefoy4531Ай бұрын
When I saw him last week he'd occasionally take his left hand off the neck to give it a little breather during a song
@quincytennyson6020Ай бұрын
He plays 11s on electric, I know. Not sure on the acoustic. @jamiefoy4531 a primary reason for him doing that is to give himself a mental check-in vs. fatigue on the hand. He's stated before that if he gets caught up in an idea and isn't sure where we wants to go, and wants to be more mindful about it, he'll remove his hand from the neck. A pretty common thing for him to do even playing electric.
