I can't imagine the pride you must feel having Julian choose to play your guitar. It sounds wonderful.

In my opinion, even the best blend of musicians would subtract something to this man, rather than adding. His musicality and taste are incredible and shine at their best in a solo performance

If it’s even possible, I think I like Julian’s acoustic playing even more than I like his electric playing!

Julian played acoustic and archtops for a long time before moving to the electric guitar . So it makes sense people would prefer it.

Absolutely.. really awesome to see him getting traction on channels like Paul Davids. Led to a lot of my friends who are typically only rock or blues enthusiasts developing a taste for Julian’s playing 🙌

looks a lot like a Ken Parker's guitar, awesome
@bluearchguitars26 күн бұрын
🫶 Ken is a dear friend and I am grateful that he agreed to let me use some of his design solutions. But our guitars are significantly different. The main differences are in the way the string tension is transferred (my guitars have a carbon main beam that transfers 100% of the string tension, freeing the soundboard from the task of transferring structural loads), the choice of lattice bracing on the soundboard of my guitars, and the construction of the neck (although my neck also has a carbon neck post, most of the neck is empty). Detailed descriptions on my website www.bluearchguitars.com. Come check it out!

Very nice sounding archtop. I see some Ken Parker influnces, am I right?
@bluearchguitars3 күн бұрын
Ken is a dear friend and one of the greatest innovators in archtop design. When I was designing my archtop prototype and was stuck in certain design elements, I looked to other manufacturers for solutions. In several areas, Ken brilliantly solved the suboptimal design of the traditional archtop. Ken was generous enough to agree when I asked him to use some of his solutions in my guitars. The most important one was the neck/body connection. However, in many areas, I differ in my understanding of guitar acoustics, so my design differs significantly. On my website (see description) I discuss in detail the design principles of my guitars.

This isn’t really an acoustic guitar, if you will notice, there’s a pickup and no sound holes.
@bluearchguitarsАй бұрын
It is primarily an acoustic guitar (the sound-hole is placed in the guitar side) with added pickup. This is pure acoustic, unplugged, sound of the guitar.

there is simply no way you can play the guitar with a plectrum... it limits you... so much... far easier to use fingers... as do pianists...
