This beautiful recording of Julian's 1998 song "I Should Have Known" from the lp ~Photograph Smile~ is far & away the best of the two recordings. The fact that Julian's voice has a richness and smoothness that comes with age. Like a fine wine, Sinatra comes to mind. And when you couple this vocal with Spikes hand in the production and mixing.....well you come up with something quite extraordinary. This is a very moving, and an emotional remake. One can only imagine whom Julian Lennon was thinking of when he opened up his heart and these lyrics came forth.

Now there’s a man who has withstood all life threw at him. With the love @ support of his mother, he grew to be an independent & honorable man which is more than anyone can say about his father. Yes I’m a fan of the Beatles but John discarded his first born son & chose life with his other wife & their son. Julian was the innocent party in all of that mess & Yoko was no angel either, she fought for years not to give Julian his rightful part of John’s estate. John left Julian completely out so therefore neither John nor Yoko deserve any respect. Julian on the other hand has shown Yoko & her son much respect despite the drawn out legal fight. Julian I admire you completely & I love all your work!
