I am a Navy veteran. My father is a retired Army colonel. He served as executive officer at many commands. He has been a judge, and even jury member in countless NJPs, and court martials. When Eddie was going thru this, my father said from the start that this was political, and he went into great detail of how he knew. At the time, we didnt k ow the conclusion. My father k ew it was political, but wasnt sure of an outcome. After all was said and done, he was right. He even mentioned how poorly he would be treated for being high profile.

i was a correction officer for a year. we had to read "games inmates play" it was a complete projection of "games cops play" lol it was a disgusting job and met many innocent men in there. the cases were obviously an injustice. [some. not all] its a myth the everyone claims they are innocent. in fact most admitted their crimes but there was waaaay to many guys that would tell me their story and even let me read their case and it was obviously a railroad case. years later i was falsely accused of abuse by my ex wife and i ended up going to prison on false allegations. so ive been on both sides of the bars

@Confessor555 Absolutely man. The biggest culprits is the DAs office and they have so much power, even more than judges and they Have Zero oversight. They don't even hide the corruption. All one needs to do is sit in the public seatin for 30 minutes to an hour and if you are able to hear and decipher the legalese language you will see why they created this coded language. its to hide the crazy backward dealings they do that is the exact opposite of everything we think the justice system is. you are guilty until proven innocent and you find out it's DAs and judges working in cahoots to trample your rights and do it in a way that seems fair but just underneath you are outgunned and powerless even with a street attorney. and remember that many private attorneys are former prosecutors so they flipped over so they could make a lot of money while the bamboozle their guilty clients..but also the innocent ones but in a different way. They will drag their feet..not try hard to get your case dismissed because they want you to go to trial and take all your money. I've seen it with my own eyes and just telling people no one will believe me unless they are arrested and go through it as an innocent man like I was. I was in absolute shock and dismay as I watched my freedom get stolen and my life destroyed with zero fcks given by anyone. no one cared. it was all business as usual attitudes in the courtroom. even the baliffs, Court reporters, and aides surely know and yet they sit there and go along like the Nazi Camp soldiers. they are "just doing their jobs" lol anyway..thats my rant. no one will read this nonsense since I wote a novel. couldn't help myself. I'm still coping after 20 years of living the nightmare

I served and went to war for a President I believed in. I stood up for him. But when I found out we were in Iraq based on LIES and Bush knowingly lied about WMDs then I stopped supporting him and I am so mad because the very first US military death in Iraq was my good Marine buddy. He was my squad leader in Bootcamp. Ended up going on leave together and driving from Houston back to base which was my first multi state road trip and it was so fun in my first car which was a Camaro. He died for lies. He should still be here if it weren't for that scoundrel George Bush. Having said that, the military was the best time of my life. Even the deployments. I got to see my buddy the day before he died. We ran into each other at the tent city we were living in before the invasion started. I got to travel the world. Ive been to Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Hawaii, Spain, Oman, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Germany. I got to live in Florida and California and jumped off cliffs in Lake Havasu, got laid on a pier on a river in Jacksonville Florida, had a 3 some in Vegas in the Mandalay Bay, got a soapy in Thailand and Singapore and Asian women are the finest and have the smoothest skin I've ever felt, I rode elephants in the rainforest, camels in the desert, I burnt barrels of our own feces with diesel and saw some crazy things at war and rode in the biggest plane the US military has for 20 hour trip, I flew off LHD6 USS BONHOMME RICHARD In two helicopters, the CH46 and CH53, I flew in a C130 from Kuwait into Iraq at 100ft AGL dodging RPGs and drove humvees in the middle of nowhere, I watched real Thai kickboxing with kids as young as 5 years old and I made the best friends in all my life. I have been either best man or groomsman in 10 of my friends weddings all over the country and just spent a few weeks at my best friend from the Marines house. I got free college and then free rent and food allowance because I served and I get a disability check every month. I am fully functional but damaged but nothing that gets me depressed or anything. Wear and tear. Right now may not be a good time to serve but a year after trump gets back you should try again if you want. You will miss out on all the benefits listed above. I did 5 years and the free college is such a stress relief because they will pay for all books and tuition and on top of that they will send you rent allowance based on zip code and a few hundred a month for food. Tax free. I got $950/month for rent as a single guy plus $300/month for food and they paid the school for books and classes. You can't beat that. Doing that without the GI BILL is so hard unless you are an entitled Democrat silver spoon. Everyone I know who was in the military regrets not staying in longer. Yes sometimes it sucks but the most is fun. Don't join the infantry unless that is what you want. Eddie was a Seal and that is nothing compared to the regular military. They have a whole other set of rules and politics. As tough as it was in the Marines, I miss it every day. You make the best friends and get to do alot of fun things.

30+ years in law enforcement has taught me a number of valuable lessons. One is “the brotherhood” only applies when you’re useful to the brass and pretty much all your buddies can’t be counted on when you’re down and out. However the ultimate lesson (and the most valuable) has been that God means what He says when we’re told not to have any other gods but Him. My god was the job and whatever squad I was assigned to but God had other plans and took that all away. Might be wrong but my take is the Lord took away the god of the Seals and the Department of the Navy to focus Eddie on Himself. Best trade off ever.

I got NJP’d for lost gear, flak jacket, Kevlar, mag pouches, they went missing off the grinder which had 2 sentries watching our gear, we were on the 15th MEU doing training on the ships from a pre deployment exercise, long story short, until I was seen by the company CO I was confined to quarters, had a fellow NCO guarding me so I couldn’t get out of our berthing area on the ship, I finally got my NJP date, I pleaded guilty just to get it over with, and the CO said not guilty… god was watching over me 🙏🏽 as he was watching over you Eddie ❤

I went threw this same treatment as a boy in California youth authority for putting an m80 in a mailbox. At 12 years old in there with dude up to 25 years old. Fights EVERYDAY and every staff was a "rasheda" . I had my 13 th bday as a ward of the state and a residente of Fred C Nelis in Monroe cottage and it sucked so bad.. it made me angry, violent, a racist and an a hole. Only God was able to free me from that bandage. I was paroled at 15 years old and never looked back . I buried that experience deep in my soul and moved on. I'm 40 now and seing this poor man just reminded me of all I lived, I thank you God for saving me from that hell and for saving this man too and for anyone in that position I'd say keep your chin up and fight for what's right and pray to a higher power . God bless you all FRED-INGLEWOOD CA

The people doing LE within the DOD military tend to be poor performers to start with. They would be doing the primary duty of their service branch if they were serious about military service. They are the weak-sisters of regular law enforcement and of the regular military. They did not go mainstream in either endeavor. Second or third tier in both worlds. So, of course, they want to build up anybody they chase... it makes them seem rugged. It is not just 'the government' that is the problem... it is the Peter Principle cases in every organization. People faking their way through things they are not truly qualified to do... are far too common. Or so it seems to me.

There's zero time alone. At least you were able to call your wife. When they did that to me, I had zero contact to the outside, no money for commissary or phone calls. Completely incommunicado. 100% incommunicado. Imagine that. On top of the part where you get psychologically fuct with by staff and other inmates and matter of fact they have inmates that are NOT inmates just like the show 60 days in. I don't know who reads this but yeah, I am not exaggerating at all. Of course I can go into deep details but I will probably get socially cancelled. One thing I can say that really bothers me still is the fact that I was so PTSD burnt out that I accidentally threw away my ribbon rack when I was cleaning one day and I spent a month trying to recover and rebuild my ribbon rack before the court martial and when I was flown out and handed over to the intake guard, my escorts took my dress blues with them instead of putting them for my release and I never saw my dress blues again. They never sent them to my wife or family. Now when I think about going to events like funerals and weddings and VFW and 4th of July, there's no dress blues to wear. Cold blooded. They like to do stuff like that. Oh yeah, at one point in my career I was an MP but I was also a recruiter. I say that to express this, I lived 28 years in the military ready to fight the enemy "outside the fence" but emotionally I wasn't looking or guarding against the enemies inside the fenceline; the sheisty coworkers banging the supervisors at 3 different command levels ready to metoo a MF when they don't get what they want or know that they are going to look bad with their sugar daddies in the ranks. There's military drug dealers and pimps and arms dealers and car thieves and of course the broads in the military that F with them. If you are not at their level you will get ran over.

The kid who had week got turned back over to his Bn who gave him restriction and busted him in rank. The meth kid went to prison for a year and got a BCD. But true the military is scary when it comes to the legal system. IF officers use it as intended it works fine. IF they abuse it then it can be truly horrible on people.

I can vouch that 100% of what he's saying is true. I spent 7 months, most of it in administrative segregation, in the Charleston brig for an incident that occurred in Iraq in 2006. I was charged with Manslaughter and misbehavior in front of the enemy 6 months after a disarmed enemy combatant died in our custody. All rights were suspended and the abuse I endured was unbelievable. And to top it all off in the end I faced a summary court martial from a fucking captain who was there when the incident happened. He said he was sorry but he had no choice but to find me guilty of failure to obey anr the r order to justify the time I'd spent in the brig.

There were particular Marines who were designated to discipline and watch over Sailors who had seriously fucked up in the Fleet while said sailors ate chow. My daughter told me the Navy and the Airforce would pay her college tuition for a 6 year payback as an officer, and I told her nope, and I tell every young person the same thing. The first ten years were great, but the last year's I saw woke enter into everything we did and punched out as soon as I could. Here is what you learn from this stuff, as long as you go with the flow, all is good. If you try to do something different, they will try to destroy you. If you try to do the right thing and everyone else isn't, they will hammer you. I recall as a private E1 or E2 standing up to some serious abuses of power by NCO's in my infantry unit back in the 90's, and they did their best to hammer and destroy me. But it didn't work in the end. And they weren't so much abusing their power toward me, but rather toward others and I stood up for it.

At 18:15, of course 7 months sounds horrible if you are the prisoner. But defense counsel needs time to get information from prosecution, and time to go through it all. I'm not making excuses, but I could for sure see defense counsel asking for more time because prosecution is slow in releasing stuff. So as a defendant, you have to ask for details of everything that has happened so far, everything in regard to letters and timing and why is it taking so long.
