Old songs are incomparable to today's garbage. Remember, when American DJs wouldn't play BeeGees songs because they considered them crap, well they're dead wrong coz people find them classic - a masterpiece , and will be enjoyed by generations to come.

There will NEVER be another sound comparable to the Bee Gees! There's was uniquely without limits. They could do any genre of music, and do it better than anyone else ever could. Their talent and gift of prolific composition of both music and lyrics cannot be matched. Their stage presence and senses of humor brought light and love to all those who witnessed their GREATNESS! IMO even the Beatles didn't compare to the Bee Gees...not in composition or harmonics! THEY WERE THE GREATEST!!!

Beautiful and complex harmonies over amazingly clever chord changes, the Gibbs were masters at it, master! In 40 years NO ONE will be listening to J.B. or B.S., no one! However, Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb's great-grandchildren will still be enjoying a steady stream of royalties! Their music simply defies description...

I recognized talent when I saw The Bee Gees for the first time on Top Of The Pops in 1967. The song was Massachusetts and immediately I was hooked. I was 12 and played it on our local jukebox till eventually I decided to buy the record with my pocket money. Then, they did “World” and the next day I bought the record in the freezing cold at the end Of 1967. These two songs are still my favourites by them and, amazingly, I managed to hold on to the records!

I used to listen to Radio Luxemburg at night, secretly, and every time I turned the radio on there was a BeeGees song. Loved the older songs, didn't quite care for the disco era, got quite a few CDs with the older material. They had to do the hard slog to start up like the Beatles, performing in clubs and pubs, really like any of the great bands in the sixties, no synthesizer, electric guitars just tlent. I like how he said we and us, just a gentleman.

Just recently I started listening to them again and now I am obsessed with their music and learning new things about them. I enjoy watching the old videos of them when they were just boys. Robin was my favorite. He really was fun to watch. Always clowning around. Not to mention his voice. Every time I hear him sing I get chills. I Started A Joke is one of my old favorites. I just recently ordered the Ultimate Bee Gees CD on Amazon. It has all my favorites by them. Can't wait to get it so I can listen to them in my vehicle. RIP Robin and Maurice. This is very, very different to, for example the Clive Anderson interview. The whole notion of this segment was 'Hard Talk' where it was designed to be asking tough, sensitive questions. There is no ambush going on here, and Robin knew before he went on what the line of questions was likely to be on so he was able to be prepared and with his eyes open. Which he did, and did very well throughout this interview. So no, I'm afraid I don't agree with your comment, and nor should any other objective, aware person.

Creating music for the love of the craft. I agree with everything he said. Auto tune is something I would not use. In my opinion hearing small areas where there is some imperfection is great because you know you are listening to pure music. I remember singing in front of a person that had done some songs. I heard this person say...those mics will make anyone sound good. It actually caused me to join a group of musicians and vocalists who critiqued each other’s work. I wrote most of my own songs...did some collaborations...and it was so uplifting. It did become too much work because the more you had following you, the more you followed and you had to keep up with comments and other artists music. At around 5000 followers...I cut it off. My father was sick and I did not have the time to keep up with comments and following other artists. I plan to do more music at some point, but currently I am caring for my mother. Having said all that I have the upmost respect for the music of The Bee Gees. This is real talent. No smoke and mirrors. This is a group that composed music that cannot he touched by any other artists. I am in awe of their talent.

Oh, spot on Robin! Pop musicians these days sell their looks, not any talent they may have. The people who write the songs for them stay in the shadows, no one cares to know their names. (Geeze, I think that _I_ sing better than most of today's pop artists.) Everyone goes on about the Bee Gees' harmonies, which were great, but they could all hold their own alone as well and their lyrics actually meant something. And good job not letting the guy get away with dominating the conversation and putting words in your mouth.
