there are times within this video that my autofocus decided that it too couldn't handle Morissette's voice but this does not occur when I'm breaking things down! I hope you still enjoy the video!
oh! also, I noticed that I am mouthing the words at times. I've heard the Andra Day version previously so while this isn't a first time listen to the song it is a first time listen to Morissette singing it!

Hi julia. You haven't reacted to morissette lately. I highly recommend her new song "gusto ko nang bumitaw" (live band performance) where she was standing with a band next to her. This is a very intense/emotional song since it's about trying to let go or not. Please find also the lyrics before watching it so you can truly feel what she is singing. The squeaks was actually "Intentional Vocal Break". You can hear it on the other songs clearly. Some IVB(intentional vocal break) of her is higher like the one from her secret love song in Asia's song festival.

You don't have to know the lyrics of songs to be able to spot real greatness. Many didn't even applaud afterwards to one of the best performances of the decade.. The truth is that the event was filled with wealthy buissness people who use this event much like a golf course. To make connections, promote themselves, and close deals.. The people lacked passion for all performers, and dare i say: music in general.

However, in her other song which I also suggested, "Akin Ka Na Lang", she phrased 15 seconds (I had to say this because some coaches who reacted to this didn't notice the 15 sec phrase). Let me enlighten you about her vocal condition. So we start by saying her father taught her almost anything she knows and she started singing early, went to competitions, and she was promising... Then she almost lost her voice and her life from cancer which was developed in her throat. Not entirely sure if this happened because she exhausted her larynx or not but i also picked what i am sharing with you now by others piece by piece, comment by comment for 3 years if not more. So yeah she went through all this and won. Not only she managed to come back from it, but she came back even stronger than before, that husky tone in her voice is there as long i know her, those squeaks are there when she decides and i shouldn't forgot to mention that her other extraordinary ability that of whistling for at least 20 seconds. That's Morissette Amon (a-mon) for you also known as Asia's Phoenix or as i call her the goddess from the Philippines! Thanks for reacting to her and keep up the good work !
