Welcome!
In this video I am reacting to Morissette Amon singing her own song Akin Ka Na Lang. Morissette is basically an endless supply of joy to listen to who has the capacity to go full beastmode if she wants to so I hope you enjoy this reaction/analysis. We dive into a little bit of voice technique, and a little bit of sound effects and what/why effects might be used.
If you liked this video give it a thumbs up, share, leave a comment or all three if you want to and if you'd like more please remember to subscribe!
Stay safe, stay healthy!

Mori’s TONE, DYNAMICS, STYLE (Intentional Vocal Breaks, Squeaks, Whistle), Vocal power, QUALITY and Control, VERSATILITY while retaining her own tone, Stage Presence/Natural Groove, Beauty, Charisma, EMOTIONS, Delivery = SUPERB! I think what sets the really great performers apart from the merely great singers today is authenticity and intention. You can't fake it when we have such an up close view of them, social media, etc. We know that whatever Morrissette is intending us to feel is coming from a genuine place and that she feels it too. Add the vocal chops and there's no way you can't love her. Thanks as always for the reaction Julia and I'm excited to see you so close to your 75k milestone!

_The way she sang, you can feel her heart overflows with kindness, emotions and compassion. She is the serenity amidst the chaos of what's going on with the world right now. With her heavenly vocal control, techniques, dynamics, runs, riffs, range, resonance, register, timbre, squeaks, breaks, cracks, cry, fry, growl, grunt, vibrato, crescendo, decrescendo, melisma, tone, pitch, belt, key change, chest voice, head voice, mixed voice and who doesn't remember her divine whistle notes (let's not forget about that) that are all so majestic she can easily sedates everyone's life turbulence and turned it into hope and love and music. She is all, and she is more that's why since before we loved her... beyond measure.. beyond reason.. beyond time.. and we'll still loving her... and we'll always and forever will be._ 💖✨

_Morissette is the greatest singer/vocalist to ever step foot on this planet. A freak of nature. She is truly indeed, the "Asia's Phoenix", an unstoppable force of vocal power and prowess, a symbol for everyone to rise up from the ashes amidst this chaotic times. No one in a human form can execute strenuous vocal skills in one song performance. Her insanely vocal range, control, techniques, dynamics, power, belt, low notes, growls, squeaks, and her signature whistle tones after hitting a high note in one breath. Can't imagine, how she did all of that. Maybe she forgets on how to be a human, again. It's way too much to handle, inevitably we're having an absolute eargasm. Her music is a gift. A light when we're lost in this dark times, the warmth in our hearts in this cold life. Listening to her sang send chills to one's soul even after a thousand times. Her entire existence validates that there is still hope and love left in this world._ 💖✨

Morissette has paid her dues with lots of practice. She has her fundamentals down so well that she makes the hard stuff seem normal and the impossible under control and no worries. Before I forget there is a video floating around of Morissette singing al her whistle tones with her mouth closed. I thought that was special. I can't whistle in any way shape or form, so I thought doing something that required a mouth to be open, then to do it closed might be unusual. I like the way she settles herself into her song. She adjusts her posture then she takes a deep breath, smiles and just before she starts to sing she relaxes her shoulders and her face then sings. There are so many things to talk about with Morissette so I'll just leave my contribution with this, Morissette is the best female vocalist on the planet today.

She doesn't only have a lots of character to her vocals but also the genuine expressions from her beautiful face, there is so much passion and talent to convey emotions and connection which really assists in delivering the story of the song. Stunning singer, incredible, perfect performance ! I just don't know how she is not a household name everywhere on the planet. "Beast of a phrase" followed by a bigger " beast of a phrase". Awesome. Great and informative reaction! No choice but to subscribe.

13:19 - that change is so subtle to my ears! Even though I'm an amateur musician and my headphones are rather good. I had to listen to it several times to catch the difference. You're astonishingly professional, Julia! Btw, what's the model of your headphones?

Would love to see your reaction to Confrontation from the musical Jekyll and Hyde. Specifically, David Hasselhoff's performance as it has one of the clearest live recordings as well as taking the pace faster than any other performer
