Crazy thing on your water bill..... They are making money from you lol When I have had a house and paid the water company directly, it was 45 baht a month and my current condo in Hua Hin is 60 baht per month (With big pool etc) and I think they skim a bit for that lol Your Vegas water bill was more than your total housing expenses in Pattaya!

Hey Julian, if your living in Thailand longterm did you link up your American bank with a Thai bank? Was it easy to setup? My question is where do I start first if I wanted to live in Thailand long term besides keeping my passport up to date and banking up to date.

Love the “pretty caddy” idea….wonder if just eye candy?

Aloha Julian! I've made the move to Thailand! Can you give a rough estimate on how the costs for living in Bangkok might be more or less than those you list here for Pattaya? I remember you use to live in BKK. Thanks! By the way, you might just get me back into golf sooner with your description of the 'pretty caddy'. I never heard of them! Sure sounds like an excellent video subject. Bill

Congratulations on the move Bill. It really depends on the area in Bangkok. If you are in the center of the city near Asoke or Phrom Phong the prices will be high. If you live more in the Bang Na area the prices will be much lower. Also the closer your condo is to the BTS or MRT station the prices are usually higher too. You can try some online websites to look at different prices to see which ones you like

@@JULIANKGLASSER Thanks for the congrats; I appreciate it! A 20+ year dream come true! Sorry; after reading my message above I can see I was a bit general. I did find a condo and moved in a couple weeks ago. The cost estimates I was seeking were for water, electricity, and other such expenses beyond just the monthly condo rental fee. Might you have some insights from your time in BKK before? Thank you!

Dude, there's no way you ran the electric "all the time" at 23° and it only cost 1000thb. All the time would imply 24/7. Even in a 25sqm studio, at govt rate you couldn't run AC that much for that price.

@bazmurfer43 Жыл бұрын
@@JULIANKGLASSER You must be paying gov rate for electricity to be that low.
@clocktowerhill8760 Жыл бұрын
Agree John. I live in Pattaya and think its a good idea for anyone looking at this video to know that my personal cost is twice this amount and I don't run the AC at all, only a fan and a couple of computers and a fridge. And I have had months where it was 2,400 baht per month. Again with no AC but increased computer usage. And no TV. Its not that I don't think the poster is not being honest, but for anyone thinking of moving to Pattaya, you might want to think of a wider range possibility for your budget.
@JULIANKGLASSER Жыл бұрын
Maybe you have a larger AC unit, have a unit that is not electricity friendly, or don't pay government electric rates? It doesn't benefit me lying about my electricity bill.
@philliproberts7294 Жыл бұрын
I listen to a lot of budget Pattaya most electricity bills are about 2000 a month average April may June probably more than that
