A commenter on another video - Fun fact: The guy who created this, Wayne Lytle, wrote custom software that allows you to rig up the 3D instruments and plug in notation in the form of a MIDI file. The instruments would then animate themselves according to the notes written in the file. That means every note is 100% accurate and the instruments are not being animated to the music, but rather the music is animating the instruments. - venzoah

I have all the Animusic DVDs and this is probably one of my most favorites. I love that kinda 80's sounding rock/metal of this plus those lasers are just so friggan cool. The first time I've seen any Animusic was seeing "Space Groove" from Animusic 2 being demonstrated on a home theater setup that was probably north of $100K, and holy crap, was that friggan incredible! Completely blew me away, and that was back in 2005. Of course, I immediately had to get the Animusic DVDs and try it out on my own HT setup. Even at 53 now, this still totally blows me away and also neat seeing some others attempting to create their own Animusic-like videos. Shame we will probably never see an Animusic 3, though.

In the big city, where skyscrapers and elevated metro lines are the biggest thing happening. There lies an old warehouse, no one truly knows what’s inside. Some say it’s been abandoned, others say it has something amazing in it. For the few people who have gone in, they were met with an amazing sight. It seemed to be a musical stage, which seemed to be all robotically controlled. A red laser synth provided a nostalgic tone; 4 robotic arms hit a ring of drums; but alas! The centrepiece of it all! a triple-necked guitar, with robotic fingers that demonstrated the ability of robotics. And not a single person were playing the instruments.
