Hi Mandie! I need your help. I am seriously considering cutting my hair and getting this exact look done. I am looking at all of the videos like yours, and I keep noticing all of these girls' hair are thin. I have thick, wavy/ slightly curly hair. I will be cutting off almost a foot of my hair, and i want to be sure I can make my hair like this. I am taking notes on this video, and others like it. So, I know what to ask for, and I will get my hair thinned. I also know that there are products I can use to control the look, but do you think that my thicker hair type should prevent me from getting the haircut done? Do you have any recommended products to control the look when I style it like you did in the end?

I think this was a video from a professional to another profession. Actually her techniques where rather high end. I wish she wouldn't say 'freaking' or 'oh my gosh' so much, but that's just her. As a stylist wanting to improve this cut, I found her video very informative.

It is accurate, it's just not the same. You cut hair according to the person, not a photo or concept. I also don't believe in cutting down folk on the internet.

Given how fine the ends of the clients hair was compared to.the photo it would need to be adapted, as there isn't the thickness to create the exact same shape. Fail to see how this isn't a professional looking cut though. Professional stylists will adapt and cut to suit the clients face shape, bone structure and hair texture. She's done exactly that. I think it's a great cut, and I've been a stylist for 18 years

This is not a professional stylist. Her hand was on an angle for most of the cut. I couldn't keep watching as you could clearly see her other cut underneath that was supposed to be her guide - she kept cutting over it and her sections were super messy. Her point cutting was done at the wrong time - that is a finishing off shouldn't be part of the preliminary base cutting. They need to start teaching these young stylists the proper techniques.
