Would love to know the exact brush brand and size you are using to get such lovely fine lines. Thanks. Love your work.

Deborah. Thanks for your question and comments about my work. The brush is a size 4 sable brush and, as you noted, it has a lovely point. It was actually an amazing find on a UK art suppliers website as it only cost £1! Here is the link: www.jacksonsart.com/4-pointed-round-sable-natural-wood-handle-brush-aluminium-ferrule I guess at this price perhaps the quality varies, but the ones I have bought have been great (just needed wetting and a little 'training' to get the point.)

Thanks so much Julia. I will check out their site. Hard to belief such a lovely brush only cost a pound!

Indeed! It only comes in one size though and maybe they made a large number.

Just ordered three...is there a way to 'train' them?

You may find they arrive with a lovely point. OR, if not, I dip them in water and turn them gently on a cloth until they come to a point. (I have now got into the habit of doing this every time I need to take water or paint off the brush . Always rotate it the same way) I guess if they don't come to a good point you may have a duff one (Which you could perhaps return to Jacksons). However, perhaps that is the risk you take with a £1 brush!
