Julie’s consonants (& how she handled them) were THE reason she was so articulate, perfectly understandable, even when singing.

I love this documentary! It shows the real julie and she's exactly how we all thought she is, beautiful, smart, hardworking, loving, fun, fresh, talented and practically perfect in every way. I also love how it gives an insight into how she works and lives with her family...

Wow, what a professional - how lucky that Blake Edwards made this documentary. It's wonderful to see an artist like her working - no nonsense but balanced - taking pleasure in her work, her family and her gifts. Glad the newyorker recommended this.

I love how normal and down-to-earth she is, and very career-driven. This really highlights just how strong her work ethic was and is, and she always maintained that work-life balance.

This is such a gem of a documentary...simply amazing....even though the Julie Andrew's hour was critically acclaimed (winning 7 Emmy's out of the 10 nominations it recieved)... its a shame that the ABC network goofed up with the timings, constantly changing them which resulted in low ratings and just one season....i feel like no one was actually able to utilize and showcase it to the audience Julie's talent a 100%....and she was and is always brilliant in what she does, such a hard worker, amazing singer, actress, performer, writer, mother, wife and everything...a huge thank yo her and Blake for this documentary...Queen and an icon for life♥🙌.

I was 12 years old when the Julie Andrews Hour premiered. And I was so excited! The first movie I ever saw, was Mary Poppins, and I was just 4 years old. Ever since Julie Andrews has been my favorite singer/movie star! So when she had her Television show. I was beside myself with joy. I remember those shows with such joy and fondness! I used to record each one on a tape cassette and then later listen to it as I would daydream or want to relax. I wore out those cassette tapes, LOL.

This is a precise film testimony of what she poses in her new book Home Work. What a wonderful relationship theirs as a couple and with their children!

Julie was my inspiration in music. Now I know tons of people have said that , but I really mean it. When I was very young her music was some of the 1st I was exposed to. I was having trouble learning to speak but listening to Julie sing helped me in many ways find my voice. I learned to speak listening to her & her influence continued throughout my life. I was one of the youngest people ever admitted to our adult church choir. Then i gained early admission to a very good music college. I'm sure I would have continued but not too long after I got into college I was called home to help care for my Grandparents and later my mother. I would never change a thing every experience has shaped me into who i am today. I still sing but mostly for my own pleasure. Thank you for being an inspiration and a teacher. Your voice your words can mend a soul. Yes meeting Julie Andrews is a bucket list item but I also realize one I may never see. So my many many heartfelt thanks.

Thanks. Fascinating stuff, and so much work involved. No wonder this show won a basketful of Emmy's. And lovely to hear Julie and Emma singing Handel on the beach. Cheers.

Couple of thoughts, first is why didn't Julie write more music? I would have loved to hear more of her own melodies. Secondly, as different as her and Blake were, you can see in these candid moments just how thoughtful and sensitive he was with her. He let her make her decisions, guided her when she needed it, and cherished her when she needed it, which ended up being the perfect match to her after all.

What a truly amazing gift this film is-- thank you so much! I'm so thrilled and fascinated to see this behind the scenes montage. If Julie's song that says "Time to Go" is NOT played when she does, heartbreakingly, leave us, it would be a tragic oversight, even though that time-- and hearing her say 'goodbye' in her own beautiful song-- would wrench the heart out of a stone. It certainly will mine, therefore we simply cannot let her go..... thankfully she will have left behind so much of herself that she never will really be gone. Julie-- the brightest star ever-- she could do it all, with style, intelligence, beauty, kindness, and grace.
