I don’t have tumblr (to make comments) but I’m a long time fan of the brilliance of the parallel Julieverse. I’ve been living it in my mind forever. I’m so grateful for your talent and research to really bring it to life. What a wealth and treasure trove of materials! I’m Ill of the same questions being asked of her all the time. I want high tor and the Julie Andrews hour released into public domain with all the soundtracks and digital restorations!

The reason that the backup singers are a little loud is mainly because there is no orchestra or music playing. They were the orchestra with exquisitely sung and blended voices. Yes, they could have been lowered a bit or they could have just kept everything like it is and raised Julie's voice just a tad. Otherwise, the sound quality here is beautiful and great and so very clear with everyone's each individual voices . It's amazing that this great sounding video was performed 60 years ago! 🤔🤗

I have noticed that Robert Goulet’s baritone often overshadowed Julie’s voice in some of their duets on JAH.

Julie, as usual is unassailable, but who had the bright idea of having those ersatz Irish back-up singers accompanying her, pulling focus from the star and changing the tone of the most winsomely poignant Broadway song ever written into this ridiculously distracting and mediocre exercise?
