I think that there is a direct conflict of interest having greg heading the crossfit games when he has publicly disparaged the games. I think that if he were humble he would release the games to an entity that would treat the games with respect and allow it to be the pinnacle of a sport that we the community love. Also when is any media person going to ask greg why he himself does not do crossfit?

Pretty sure he's already doing this. Sanctionals are about building up those independent entities to take this over. I'm sure he'd be happy to let rogue do the crossfit games. He tried to get ESPN before to do it but it wasn't popular enough for that platform.

Great to hear about real basics of Crossfit , some how it became business , and its all about the good health of us as a human veins without the prostitution of big business dictating our diet ore workout lifestyle.

Hey Julie!! Quick question. In the future, I’m not sure if you asked this of Greg, but will PA’s or PT’s be invited to the MD L1s? As a future PA and Crossfit coach, I’d love to be able to just to sit in on a L1 cert with that sort of perspective. Hope you can provide some insight, love the podcast! Thanks!

How about someone who is highly self-motivated and very confident in being self-coached. What does an affiliate tell that person?

A coach often doesn't compete at the level of the athletes that he trains... Doesn't mean he's not knowledgeable in his field.

Julie, how can you keep this interview posted with this awful man? I thought you were “out.”

Greg really doesn't know what he's talking about with respect to science. It's intellectually dishonest and extremely dangerous. There are definitely issues with certain branches where replication is an issue, but labeling it as a problem with science overall, especially with the more hard sciences, leads to things like anthropogenic climate change denial and anti-vax movements. Throwing out peer review and consensus is ridiculous.
@arakasius005 жыл бұрын
He has a point in that anyone can make a study say what they want. You do need to look at where the funding for science comes from. The problem is that business is so enmeshed with health/medicine in this country that its pretty hard to separate good science vs bad.
