It's wild to think that because I was in 3 different MLMS for 8 years from the moment I turned 18 till two years ago, that I have actually demonized my good paying government job that I've been at for 6 years now. I've hated my job, not because the job is shitty, but because I was brainwashed into believing that I can't have my dream life with "all the freedoms" unless I'm in an MLM or I work for myself. Having that realization that I've been brainwashed into hating a job that actually pays me was very eye-opening. I wouldn't be a home owner or have paid off nearly 10k in debt over the past 8 months if it wasn't for my job. Being in an mlm made me an ungrateful brat because I was sold a pipe dream and truly thought an MLM would (eventually) replace my income....

no but at 23:48 that's exactly the point and she can't even see it. The fact that ANYONE can sign up to sell wellness products, or be a coach to others with NO training is absolutely an issue. And that's why MLMs are awful, because you don't need qualifications to shill their garbage.
@ginnyhillyer9 ай бұрын
You don’t build it once, either. People are always quitting so you always have to find new people. It’s a hamster wheel. I’d rather trade time for money than trade time for nothing.

It's so gross that they don't feel wrong using people and referring to other humans as simply leverage for you to profit from. And "you build it once and comtinue to get paid" show me ONE person who was able to build one single team of people that are still there with them. You build it over and over and over. Thats ridiculous

It’s hard because I was in this cult (and it is an MLM, it does have levels) and I pick up on the language they use. Some is the same as all the rest, some is unique phrasing. Every mlm has their own buzz words and phrases.

@karengreenfield77739 ай бұрын
Exactly. I was thinking the same thing. If this was a supplement product that you could buy in the supermarket or chemist then they would be salespeople who are paid directly by the company to promote the product. They would give you an overview of the products and what they can be used for. Perhaps also a paid advertisement on one of those tv channels where you can buy the products. This call is just about building a team nothing about the products.

If their comp plan worked the way they're trying to sell it, every time ANYONE in the team sold something, everyone else would make like 1/200th of a penny. They don't want people to know that all the money flows to the top and that they're literally profiting on the hard work of people at the bottom of the PYRAMID.

As someone who very much would prefer to work for someone else, I hate when they just assume everyone wants to be like them. No, I really don’t. I respect those who own their own non-MLM business, it’s just not for me. As for the date comparison, it’s so bad. Yeah, asking someone on a date can be awkward, but that doesn’t mean you have to be suspicious of that person’s motives. Also, a date is between the asker(s) and the person/people being asked. That’s it. With these MLM’s, you connect with one person initially, and then find you’re one person along with all these strangers above you and below you and sidelines, etc. Even when you’re applying for a job, you know you’ll be working with others, even if it is remote! MLM’s are this weird middle ground, and maybe that’s why some people are uncomfortable!

I followed their starvation diet for a while. It kicked off my journey with hair loss. The Facebook page I was on addressed hair loss while taking this product and their answer was; the weak hair will be replaced with new stronger hair due to all the wonderful protein in Isagenix. What really can happen is if you have low iron or ferritin levels, Isagenix has no iron in it, your 400 calorie meal you get to eat won’t supply what you need either. I was so turned off by the lies they told about hair loss that I quit taking it and never looked back. So many reasons to run from these starvation diet mlm’s.
