It makes so much sense that when we are tuned in to the Holy Voice of the Holy Spirit, we need not make plans since we will be specifically guided. And it's not like we become mindless robots. If anything, we become more aware.... peaceful, deeply connected, considerate, patient, kind, compassionate, loving beings. Thank you, ladies, for a wonderful discussion. I got a lot out of it.

I love what you shared here, and I so agree...the plans come naturally and effortlessly when we are tapped in and connected to the Holy Spirit. And YES to becoming more peaceful, connected, and loving!! I'm so delighted you found this conversation to be so impactful. Blessings to you, always, Julie

The validation and verification of the teaching comes through the PRACTICE of the ideas in the workbook. As you APPLY the ideas to your daily life, the teaching starts with your intellect, then, over time, settles into the marrow of your bones. This is where the teaching really comes alive. ACIM is simply amazing.

I know the story about the drapes seem arbitrary, but I absolutely love when the universe works with me in little ways like this. I think creating beauty is important and when the world helps me along the it feels really magical and makes the everyday less dull.

similar story. i had an upstairs neighbor who "caused me distress" for years. i hoped she would move. i would check zillow to see if her condo was up for sale. i finally decided to make peace with it in my mind; to be ok with it if she never moved. she sold her condo a month later. also, i too felt a sense of peace & pure authentic truth with the first sentence i read in the course. became immediately obsessed and started attending 5 study groups/week. that was 13 years ago. i now attend a meeting led by a good friend of ken wapnick's.

Hello Julie I would like to hear more about addictions I started to smoke at age 30 and something must have triggered it and like Carol say it is messages from humans well I think my husband at that time triggered it. So I have tried to stop many times been baptized 3 times. The thing is every time I stop I have no feelings I don't allow feelings because I am scared it makes me want to smoke again and still I go back and smoke again. I Love this so much what you are sharing with Carol to help us and I would like to go deeper. I just dont have a clue how.
@JulieReisler11 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing here @martiegrobler2481! First, I would start with lesson 1 of ACIM, and do just one lesson daily. Carol's channel is one of my favorites to follow on the course. I fully get it with addiction and have worked with many clients around changing beliefs, thoughts, and stories. If you'd like to connect further with me, please reach out anytime to see if coaching and mentorship might be helpful. You can email me at julie@juliereisler.com. I get it with having tough emotions and wanting to stuff them down with sugar, alcohol, or smoking. There are also excellent 12-step programs for all addictions that have a spiritual solution and help you to get to a deeper feeling of peace and self-love. ACIM will also help you do this; just put on your patient seatbelt, as it takes time to create new neural pathways. Blessings, Julie

This is so inspirational! I have been with ACIM since 2008, and I was looking for ways to share it with people. And both your podcast and Carol Howe are inspiring me so much to write that book, which I know I have to do. In the mean time I have become a Qigong instructor, and I was led to create Qigong Support classes for ACIM students in 2024. At times I wondering, what on Earth has me made take this inmense task on myself. But I trust it must be good for something. Thank you for sharing and guiding me towards the right turn. I am so grateful for this but now I want to know about this behaviour is a function of my thought when I was 4years old I was sexually abused by my moms brother and his friend in my bed in the middle of the night that is what I just cant understand. If someone can please help me to understand that because my believe is my life is a mess because of that. Everything in my life is a struggle and now I am nearly 67 years old and still struggling. Wrong words I know I really try to change it but its in my thought my programming. I hope I get an answer. I will be so so grateful.

Martie, I suggest starting ACIM (A Course In Miracles) and beginning with day 1. You can find Carol's commentary right here on KZbin, and I would give yourself a full year of the course (one lesson a day) to help you shift your perspective and be able to see what happened through the eyes of the divine. I am so sorry you experienced such a trauma, and I do know there is miraculous healing available within these lessons. Blessings to you, Julie

I am not the victim, I just see the truth & speak the truth; that is my truth, & most people need to be in therapy; most people have way too many issues, & I am not a Psychiatrist & it's not my job to Fix, Save, & Rescue the World! I've done that too! It's way too exhausting. To each his own, but I am Living my own truth & I took off the "Rose-colored" glasses a long time ago. I do not live in the "Airy-Fairy" world I Live in "Reality" & Evil does exist. There isn't good in everyone. Sorry, but that's been my experience & my truth. People can be mean, evil, & cruel, for absolutely no reason at all!

I think past lives, karmas, soul contracts is missing in the message that carol is conveying. Many wisdom traditions talk about karma so it’s hard to comprehend when you says every moment is new and there’s nothing in the past. That’s too simplistic and doesn’t resonate to be the full truth.

And what about the "role" we are playing in the other person's life, who is so dark & Evil? You never bother to talk about that. It's always One sided here. Not helpful.
