It doesn't deserve R800 000 price tag. You are right, it doesn't make sense. You can get get plenty of brand new cars with that money.

Have to agree, this is way too much for what you getting especially if you think the lifespan on these newer tech cars are getting progressively shorter. I cant even imagine what the price tags on the S3 and Rs3 are gonna be......crazy !!!

I just test drove an A3 FWD version and was very impressed . I am considering a 23 A3 FWD with a 18in wheel sport suspension pkg. 38mpg highway, regular fuel, and is quicker than the numbers reflect ( 201hp/221 torque)....because it also has a new mild hybrid 48 volt battery system which contributes to the acceleration/power. ( this adds 12hp and 37 lb ft of torque upon acceleration for short bursts). I am looking for a more practical replacement for my 2018 Audi TT Quattro and now retired and in NC and don't feel the need for Quattro. I am also considering a new MK8 VW GTI.....

I think one has to check the price tag before ticking the optional boxes to R820k cause at that price tag there's the all new S3 which is at that price bracket and the vw Mk8 GTI just about cheaper than R820k...simple advice wait a little till all the trim levels are offered before having to tick cause most that you tick comes standard in the upper trims

Most press cars are optioned like this to showcase what is available. Most retail units with a couple of extras would be R650k. I am no Audi fan but it is a very good looking car. I would take this over a Chinese SUV any day.
@LukeIyer983 жыл бұрын
Great review, those options will amount to nothing come selling time, I guess Audi is also pushing people to lease only and not get to owning with those prices. Not too long ago an A4 2.0TFSI new was R600 000, its just not premium enough. R4000 a month (give or take) more just for options And I see a Blank button like over R200 000 worth of options is not enough

Good review. For R800 000 i would definitely not buy it. The power really doesn’t match the price or the practicality.
