I did a test drive two days ago, and I am in love with the car, I'll have to wait about two year before I go for it, so I'm hoping their prices don't change too much. It completely knocked all of the other options I had off of my list.

@@NickFenske-l9p I ended up going for an S-Presso to rather have a cheaper option for a bit more cashflow. Also, quite a tall person, feels like there's more room for me in the S-Presso than the Tiggo 4 Pro weirdly enough. Can still comfortably seat people in the back with more than enough storage in the boot. Completely agree with you on the headlamps and taillights, having to replace the entire unit can be quite the burden. Great car though, lots of oomf. Though decided against it in the end 👍🏻

I have one, around 5,000kms now (3,000 is the break-in period apparently).. mine is the normally aspirated comfort model with a cvt (auto) gearbox.. we do really short trips in the suburbs so a LOT of stops and starts, so it's around middle 8 / 8.5 like her experience. had a merc b class before this and was doing over10l/100kms consistently, so I'm still in a better place. on the freeways it drops down to around 6l/100kms, which is great considering I only ever got similar freeway consumption figures in a 900cc 3cylinder renault captur with a turbo charger

Hybrid would cost too much money for research and development, meaning the car would cost more. As for Diesel, the world is moving away from it. Audi, BMW Mercedes and VW will no longer manufacture new diesel motors

Juliet, the fuel consumption might be high because its a new car, others who have bought the car and driven it for a while are reporting getting 6-7 litres per km. Please keep this in mind that the engine Has to be run in when its new
@julietmcguire2 жыл бұрын
100% agree. But bear in mind that all cars I test are new and have very low mileage, so this is then in comparison to any new car...which means I consider it too high. I also happened to drive it last year and was getting 10l/100km. This is now a few thousand kms in. Still too high.
@vvr8812 жыл бұрын
These Chinese vehicles do seem to have a high fuel consumption compared to other brands...big concern for me. Haval, GWM and JAC that I know of and having spoken to peeps and company's who use them
@intrepidclass8282 жыл бұрын
The problem is trying to get the power to weight ratio balance right, I think what the chinese are trying to do is produce cars that have enough power so that the engine doesnt have to strain so hard to move the weight. Indian engineered cars are the opposite, so like with the new triber, kiger, magnite, they have puny engines to give the impression that they are fuel efficient, but the engines have to work harder. It was proven with the fiat 500 2 cylinder that it used twice the fuel. Fiat claimed it only used 4l per 100kms, but because of the weight and the fact people use it in city driving, it ended up using 8l! So its not just chinese cars. I doubt the Nissan magnite with its puny engine is gonna save much fuel when it has to move a larger weight
@intrepidclass8282 жыл бұрын
