The round silver handled piece would've held a glass lidded dish. The square rounded piece is a cutting board (they came with rounded knives called an Ulu knife) for chopping in. We have one. They're a thing in Alaska. Love the Deer, I thrifted a bag of 8 of them several years ago. Vtg deers are my faves. 💕

That wooden sunken bowl piece is from Alaska and comes with an ulu knife. I love mine, but I have the curved ulu knife to go with it.

That striped wooden bowl type thing is actually a cutting board for a mezzaluna (a crescent moon shaped knife that you use both hands with, you sort of rock it back and forth.)
