That looked like it was incredibly exciting. Sometimes its the most fun to go flying... just to go have fun. Screw the rules, the tasks, the potential, and take it for what it is: FREEDOM FROM EARTHLY PROBLEMS! "Right here, right now... I get to be as free as a bird in flight."

Hallo Juliet, thank you for showing us the competition days. I would suggest to think about a clip micro and a small and low cost audio recording unit. Before you take a clip you clap into your hands so that you can synchronise the video with the audio-track in your video editing system later on. This would improve your videos substantially. Keep up your great work. Greetings from Austria.

@@julietsierra Currently the most common in Colorado Springs is the DG-1000. But there are many others. Most popular are the motor gliders.

The screen in her panel is an LX9050, a dedicated high end glide computer from LXNav running proprietary gliding software on Linux - the small LCD display to the right of the main panel is part of the same system.

How do you keep from hitting others? Or them hitting you? Looks dangerous.
@herrunbekannt7556 Жыл бұрын
First: most gliders have "FLARM", a device that sends the own position, height and heading to other FLARM's and received the same informations from them. It works maybe up to 5 kilometers. So you have a good overlook were other with FLARM equiped gliders are. If two planes on collision course FLARM goes mad and show you the direction to the threat. And the second: Watch your surrounding carefully, see and been seen... 🤷🏿♂️

@kaihorstmann27833 жыл бұрын
It is the variometer, thus you can concentrate on traffic outside and the scenery, and do not have look on the instruments permanently. As pilot you have a different view on things. For us it is integral part of the experience. Besides, you can lower the volume down to silence if you wish.

Why don't you talk in Spanish? ( I tell you because you last name)
@markburton51703 жыл бұрын
Juliet Sierra is the international phonetic alphabet way of pronouncing her glider call sign JS - Sierra is very unlikely to be her real name.
