Julie, another great video, I can use-up my pieces of stained glass, lots left over from a lighthouse seascape on wood substrate. Quick question, I asked hubby to pick up Thin Set for me, he brought home a premixed tub. I read instructions etc., but nowhere does it say if I need to mix it up and leave to slake. I'll be using it to adhere broken dish pieces to a high-fired glazed teapot. Before I get started, can you please let me know. Thanks, Elizabeth

Hi Julie, I was about to go and pick up some tiles to try my 1st small project. Its a Frappuccino bottle to be used outdoors. I've read E6000 can yellow over time with sun exposure. Any other thoughts about this, do you have outdoor GOG projects that have yellowed? Should I consider a different GOG adhesive? TIA!

It didn't feel too long. I don't comment much but it was the vid I think I've been waiting for. I 1st heard about E6000 when I started embroidery a decade ago. Now I have a reason to actually pick some up. I'm hoping it doesn't smell too icky(?) I dislike the smell of interior paint but really like chalk paint bc it virtually has no scent.

You look great in your glasses Julie! I bought second-hand mesh but I don't know if it's alkaline free or not. Oh, that's something you didn't mention! If it's not, I guess thinset/grout can have an adverse reaction.

This was so thorough and helpful! Do you have a recommendation for places to source vitreous tile? Can hardly wait to create my first glass-on-glass project now! Thanks!

More great projects, Julie!! Iridescent glass is my favorite!! I try and incorporate some in all my projects. 🙂 I also love mirrored and mottled glass. One thing I didn't see in your list was the mesh. Do you get that on places like Amazon and etsy? Thank you for this video!!

Hi Julie, I started watching your vids earlier this year bc I've been interested in mosaics for a while. Love that you shared this one on G-o-g bc I have a box of Frap bottles I've been saving to upcycle. Have you ever tried using mosaic bottles as a decorative upcycle in the garden? I know mosaic step stones have been around forever but what have you observed regarding upcycled decorative glass in landscape? Also, with the garden landscape in mind, is there a tesserae that you think might be a better option?

I love to use MAC glue for glass on glass mosaics… I think it is better than Weld Bond, it is a little more liquid than Weld Bond and it dries completely clear! Have you used Mac glue in your projects?
@JulieWeilbacher5 ай бұрын
Hi there! I love Weldbond for so many reasons, one of which is that it's easy to find/purchase. Sadly, MAC is not nearly as readily available in the marketplace.🤔
