I have watched this video at least three times because the projects are so artistically varied. These are just stunning, without seeming impossible for a novice to create.

Hi TaishaMcGee! Awww, thanks for your kind words!😊 It's great to hear you enjoyed the projects and that they seem easy enough to make. That's exactly why I created this channel.✨ You got this! Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥

Hi Judy! Awww, thanks for your kind words.😊 The grout is actually microbeads. It's a little messy to work with but what a fun, unique result. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥

You are the best! You make things seem doable by breaking it down to simple understandable steps. Two questions: If using the wood, how would I make this hangable? 2) I have dozens of flat canvas substrate. Could I use those or must the substrate be wood?

Thanks! Dear Julie, This is one of my favorite of your videos. Thank-you for your inspiration, guidance and support. You have helped me tremendously. A quick question:I like pique Assiette mosaics. Are newer plates not good to use? I have read this, but notice that you sometimes use newer plates, Thanks! MM Riccio
@JulieWeilbacher2 жыл бұрын
Hi MM! Awwww, thanks for the 'super thanks!'💗 I appreciate it! Great to hear you enjoyed the video. As for new v. old plates, I use both. It's true that some older plates are easier to cut...however, I try to not limit myself as far as what I use. In fact, I just purchased another 8 plates (new!) that I couldn't resist (butterflies, bumblebees). Always remember, there are tools that can help you with whatever material you want to work with. No limits!🙌 Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥

Hi, Julie. The link to your etsy shop went to a generic etsy page. What is the name of your shop so I can type it in by hand instead. Thank you! K P.S. Is your ATC Flower Bouquet piece for sale by chance? It's so darn cute.

Julie. Hey. When you cut plates and bowls, do you keep and use the footers and off cuts? Thanks
@JulieWeilbacher2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ginny! I always keep my cut offs, and sometimes keep my footers...it depends on how 'pretty' they are.😂 If they're scratched up or permanently dirty then I throw them out. I try to keep as much tesserae as possible because I never know when I might need it in the future. I swear I'm not a hoarder. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥
@ginnys85012 жыл бұрын
@@JulieWeilbacher thanks for replying. I don’t think you’re a hoarder at All. I was curious. I keep a lot of the off it’s and think they look cool on certain mosaics. I like to think I’m not wasting. I’ve really enjoyed your Videos and have learned a lot. I need new wheeled cutters. Do you really prefer the Montolits over the Leponitts?

I watched your organization video three times. It’s awesome. Do You store your. Focals and backstamps with the plate you cut or in their own containers for focals and backstamps?

@@ginnys8501 Hi Ginny! My hoarder comment was poking fun at myself. I fully acknowledge that I have a lot of mosaic tesserae. I think it's important to try and use as much of our mosaic materials as possible. I love my Leponitts!

why do you build up the tiles to be the same height? Do you ever tile using the natural heights?
@JulieWeilbacher2 жыл бұрын
Hi Phyllis, for a project like this, I built up the materials to the same height because it's a 'card' that might be handled a lot more than say a piece of wall art. There are projects that I'll tile at the tesserae's natural height. Keep creating and I'm glad you're here! 🙌
