🏆🥊 Throwback to Julio Cesar Chavez’s Epic Training Camp with KRONK! 🥊🏆
In preparation for the highly anticipated rematch against Frankie Randall, Chavez felt the weight of a nation on his shoulders. In a stunning move, he enlisted the legendary Hall of Fame trainer Emanuel Steward to help refine his game plan. 💪🇲🇽
Steward knew that small adjustments would be key, so he brought in undefeated lightweight contender Michael "Cold Blood" Clark to mimic Randall’s style during training. The camp kicked off in Toluca, Mexico, and took Chavez on an incredible journey through Sinaloa, Mexico City, Tijuana, Los Angeles, and wrapped up in Las Vegas! 🌍✨
In this exclusive clip, watch Chavez sparring with JC Superstar and Emanuel giving pad work to Julio-showcasing the intensity and dedication of this legendary fighter.
Throughout the tour, Chavez drew massive crowds of loyal fans, creating a buzz that rivaled major fight cards-sometimes pulling in thousands to witness his dedication and skill firsthand.
VIVA CHAVEZ! 💚❤️🥊

I really like seeing how Manny was trying to give Julio work. You got to see the difference in styles unfold before your eyes. Julio is very much a perpetual puncher. You see it 1:45 where Manny asks for Julio to set his feet to maintain balance. So cool

@KikoBalderas Chavez is on his toes, dancing like Ali. Fights u mention, he's boxing while circling his aggressive opponent. He's not dancing on his toes like this sparring footage. Big difference!!

No he hooked up with steward after the first or second randall fight. I know he was with Steward in the 2and meldrick Taylor fight in September 94 and the tony Lopez fight in December 94 not sure if they had any more fights together after that. Chavez was about 32 at that point. It's funny because before Chavez got with steward he had never even hit the mitts his whole gym work consisted of mostly bag work and sparring.

Whith all respect I know he is trying to be light on his toes but he didn't know how to fight backing up that is why Randall beat him even in the second fight the gave him the win on a technical decision the refere waved the fight to continue and Chavez didn't want to continue he was complaining about a head butt.

Watch the Ramirez and Lockridge fight, casual. Chavez was quite effective in the back foot, people were so used to seeing him pressure that they forget that he could also be an excellent counter puncher.

Not true at all. Chávez was more than capable of counter-punching on the move. He did it quite frequently, even in fights where he was going forwards 90% of the time. Then there were fights like against Ramirez where he boxed this way primarily - probably because he knew Ramirez was extremely durable, but could be outboxed, as they had been stablemates previously and sparred frequently when Chávez was on the way up and Ramirez was a contender. The second fight with Randall was very close when it was ruled off. Chavez had spent periods boxing exactly how this video shows. He was in fact cut by an accidental clash of heads and the doctor advised the fight be stopped. Randall was unfortunate in getting a point deducted, but those were the WBC rules at the time (the fighter who isn't cut loses a point). The fight could have gone either way at the time it was called off.
