This is really well done, I like the pictures and maps showing what they are talking about, this is really good stuff! Thank you for sharing! EDIT: Yep, after days of searching around, you're versions are the best due to the maps and pictures of the region's troops and items he's talking about. Please bring these masterpieces back, please give us more English translations of the Commentaries. I pled upon your mercy, good Sir...

@@DarthFhenix55 i don't see bias as bad as censorship;because EVERYONE has bias,no matter how much we try to deny it.i hate the Roman Empire;what they did, what they represented to my ancestors.i could reject everything written or made by them.and yet, wisdom is universal.should i shun wisdom from hardened Men forged by experience and travel, just because they're Roman? let's make it more interesting and really challenging;trying see and hear the defeated side of the story of WII without bias born of a 80 + year PR international apparatus breathing down your neck....

A Caesar would be a blessing nowadays. The modern NWO is ten times more corrupt and greedy than the Roman republic was when Caeser overthrew them. The problem is, that no politician could reach the level that Caeser reached without doing some dark stuff on camera - which would turn the masses against them, should they ever turn on the corrupt oligarchs.

Do not forget this is a work of propaganda, a biased accounting of history which is largely unrefuted by Caesars contemporaries because his contemporaries either did not record the events or cited Caesars own commentaries on the Gallic wars themselves. Also, if any other records were kept, they're either undiscovered or lost to time... Caesar wrote the history he wanted you to read -this is a man with intent and ambition. When Caesar talks of numbers of soldiers, his enemies especially; take that with a very large spoonful of salt. He did face massive forces, the largest Gaul had ever raised -but there's more than a little embellishment most of the time.
