Julius, Master of Light and Form :-) Once again a totally amazing piece of fractal art. High quality and low compression makes it perfect.

I've seen many MB3D renders with similar texture maps, but to see them come to life and done so professionally is absolutley thrilling to watch! Bravo!

Fantastic video. I've found James Newton Howard's music to be especially fitting for fractal animations, and this is no exception. Something about his music just...feels right, you know?

We see these beautiful videos of yours and can't imagine how many dry hours of watching dumb formulas and naked sterile fractals go into these productions. You really turn these freaky calculations into art. You have my respect! Thank you for sharing!

So beautiful ! Your work could be placed among surrealists's - Let's proof it, at 1:47 if you zoom enough at field center you could see Salvador Dali telling you are THE metaphysical explorer ):( Compared to this video, the final sequence of the Tesseract in Interstellar movie seems sooo flat ! Each of your videos are SciFi movies emerging by themselves (or look such...) - no performers, no scenario, no special effects. Just a glance at meta-universes !!

This is beautiful, how did you texture the city? Using a map?
@julius-horsthuis7 жыл бұрын
Correct, I used a texture map for that.

Love your videos. Where did you learn Mandelbulb 3d?
@julius-horsthuis6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I went to the Mandelbulb Academy in Mandelburg. Just kidding, I watched some tutorials, downloaded the program and started fiddling around. Been doing it for 4,5 yrs now.
@iamthetinkerman6 жыл бұрын
Julius Horsthuis haha Mandelburg, actually believed you for a second. Awesome, that's exactly what I'm about to do myself as I have only just discovered the program. I'm looking to make some cyber punk themed mandelbulbs with a bit of progressive psytrance in the background. Looking forward to see your new videos. Merry Xmas 👍

Hey Julius, what do you use for motion blur? Amazing compositing. The renders must have been a bitch.

Amazing. But are this all - pure fractals? No textures, models, beside background? The final scene looks like constraction site... suspiciously close. )
@julius-horsthuis7 жыл бұрын
It's all fractals, but I have used textures in this one. The city - construction especially relies much on texturing. But no models. All geometry is pure fractal, indeed except some subtle background.
@YbisZX7 жыл бұрын
How you implement textures on fractal? As I know Mandelbulb render fractals as dots: they appear or not in specific cooardinates. There are no surfaces/polygons.
@julius-horsthuis7 жыл бұрын
Ybis Zedex correct that there's no polygons. but there's still a texture space. the dots can have uv values.

Julius Horsthuis this is useful information I am still getting used to MB3D using the camera and target drives me nuts, I thought Blender's trackball was unwieldy but this tops that, used to simple pan, zoom and dolly cameras in my 3D apps! imputing parameters seems to make it fly to crazy places too. Otherwise an awesome app indeed!
