I'm still salty about losing Donte. Keeping those 4 nova guys together would have been special. Randle even turned a corner last season with the addition of OG. He was balling out before getting hurt. The Knicks were nearly unstoppable before the injuries
@user-wt7qg1sd5v6 сағат бұрын
Ju has been balling at an All Star level for 3 years!! What corner did he turn when OG came? 😂 Yes the Knicks as a team went on a win streak, but saying ‘turn a corner’ implies that he was having a bad year & it only picked up after the trade. Which is incorrect. He had a slow week or 2 to start the season then had already picked it up from there imo
@Bonsai-Sage6 сағат бұрын

I honestly think they never forget about his crappy attitude from previous seasons. They probably were just waiting for the right time to trade him before his value dropped again. 2 Seasons ago Many Knicks fans wanted him gone for a bag of chips because of his terrible attitude. It almost got to the point where I really didn't even want to watch the games because of him. I will not forget him for helping turning the Knicks into a winning team but I'm glad he is gone.

Exactly, people don't seem to understand that for some reason 😂
@Eastra36 сағат бұрын
Y'all believe what y'all want to believe. You don't like Julius, so you want to believe he wasn't wanted in NY by his team. His team and coach loved him, but the fans, half of them did not, and half is too much, which is why Julius said he didn't feel wanted there, nothing to do with ownership, the GM, or the coach feeling like he wasn't worth a max contract. Remember, the Knicks just gave OG a max, more than Brunson and Randle. Do you think the Knicks feel as though OG is better than either one? If you say OG is better than Randle, I know you are just a Randle hater, because OG is not on Randle's level, although he is good...when healthy. My point is that if the Knicks were worried about overpaying people, they wouldn't have traded for OG knowing they would have to pony up a max at the end of the season. If it were simply to avoid Randle's salary, they could have traded Randle for anything earlier in the summer. Do you guys know KAT is getting payed nearly double Randle's salary, and he's only slightly better than Randle if even that, and I'm being generous here. NY is going to be paying a lot more money for the same production. The reason the trade was made was because Robinson can not stay healthy, and none of their bigs are ideal for the center spot. They wanted a good talented center, well they have to give up a good talented player. You weren't going to get KAT by giving the T-Wolves a bum, which is what a lot of NY fans are trying to make this look like...."Oh the Knicks couldn't wait to get rid of that bum, and we just traded him for a far greater player." No, the truth is that they are close in production, both being allstars and all NBA players, but the Knicks needed someone much closer to resembling a Center, and Julius was the only guy the Knicks could offer other than Brunson, who could get someone like KAT, or else the T-Wolves would have laughed in the Knicks face and hung up. The Knicks didn't make this trade to save money or avoid paying Randle, because KAT is way more expensive than Randle for the same production, and Randle is more deserving of a max than half the guys who got Max contracts the past couple of years, when they were handing max contracts to just about anyone. The T-Wolves didn't do this because they thought KAT wasn't worth 80 + mil over the next 2 years, and just close their title chances by trading their best asset for a player they plan to flip or let walk. I know we are not used to seeing trades where both teams win, but that's exactly what happened here. They swapped all-stars to better fit what their team needs. KAT will thrive with the Knicks, and Randle will thrive with the T-Wolves, and both teams are going to be strong teams in their conference baring injury. BUT, you know, people love to hate on Randle, so it is what it is. This guy becomes a top 30 player, and people still find a way to say he's worthless to most teams, should be a bench player, salary relief and a bag of chips at best, etc. Julius also wasn't taking shots at Thibbs or Leon Rose. He was taking a shot at their fans.

Nobody will ….he’s going to opt in and get the next level deal like he did last time. This is what the Knicks could have and maybe should have done

“I didn’t like Randle waving Brunson & the guards off to dribble up the court & take a 3” Whaaat? Bro you just making shit up. I watched every game & this def wasn’t a trend. Ironically the times Randle did bring the ball up or get it at half court, the Knicks got into their offense quicker than with Brunson. Jalen tends to over dribble. And the only times what you refer to ever happened would be at the end of quarters, clock running down (when everyone is the NBA has to throw up a wild shot) I’m not sure if u even watch the Knicks. Randle improved last year with his 3 point shot selection. And was having huge success getting into paint
@bradrielly70312 сағат бұрын
A lot of the hate toward Randle came from the years before Brunson. JR was forced to be the #1 option which really isn't his game. The ball stopped too much with him and he made way too many turnovers. I thought he adjusted his game quite well with Brunson being the #1 option last year and was excited to see this entire team at full strength. This could have been the year where Randle came through in the playoffs but we'll never know. Oh well, it's KAT's time now. The knicks are going to be very good this year for sure, hopefully it all works out.

It's a business. I admire these guys in this media meet, they handled themselves like professionals. Sometimes being honest (keeping it real) and being professional don't mix well. That being said, I tip my hat to JR for turning the organization around and Donte for playing with heart and soul. Once a Knick, always a Knick. Nonetheless, JR feels he worked hard and wanted to get paid, but the Knicks don't want to pay him what he wants and it was all good at first, but of course that hurts and I think that's what it comes down to. Will Minnesota give him what he wants to get paid ? I hope his agent is telling him the right things, the truth.
