Not the short. Fuller video. Julius does a really good job for her

I’m thinking Julius is very adaptable with a good work ethic. Lexi is doing well with her lessons. I googled some images of “the Golden Carriage.” I think Julius was likely in those photos. The regalia he wore was magnificent & varied. I particularly liked the red tack on the black horses. Yvonne has many riding videos on her channel, including some young riders. Yvonne talks about how Friesians naturally have an erect neck with a high crest,and the correct position that the horse should be in. for riding. There are many videos of the tack used. I know that western saddles are larger. There is an organization here in the US, FHANA (Friesian Horse Association of North America) that probably has advertisers that sell the typical saddles and pads used for Friesians. For how fancy dressage gaits can be, there is a nice video about Julius grandsire, “Ulbert 390 Friesian dressage stallion.” Ulbert got up to the Grand Prix levels.

Very interesting to see Julius being ridden Western style. He seems to be taking to it well and will be able to float between that and English and dressage easily. Glad Lexi has a trainer and others at the stable who can coach her and Julius directly on proper technique and style.😄😄😄

Different saddle, though. Western doesn't sit the same as English. Other than that, I have no idea if the rider's form is good for that type of saddle or not.

A bunch of miles without stirrups fixed that problem for me. I had an instructor who took away everyone’s stirrups for months! We were all horrified, but it really taught me to have a great seat no matter what
@aldonakoppenhaver40875 ай бұрын
It looks like the seat of the saddle is too small for her ( looks like it is a youth saddle). Her butt is actually on the cantle. Probably need to go up one or two sizes for the seat.

There are 2 videos from Black Sterling Friesians showcasing Julius when he was up for sale. Search Julius, Ster sale. The 1:18 shows him being ridden with Goedzo and Braaf being conveyed. The 2:10 shows him driving a carriage, actually training a younger stallion. He looks magnificent, poised and serious about his work even among busy traffic at The Hague where the Royal Stables are located. He was enjoying his training role, just like his mem. Can imagine him saying, “Hey, it’s all good. Follow my lead.” 😊

I learned to ride by horsenapping my grandpa's big buckskin and riding bareback with only a rope halter (I was too little to lift the saddle). He threw me once and I broke my arm, but we remained great friends and I continued to take him on grand adventures. I love watching Julius. Can't wait to see someone ride him in a full gallop. Beautiful.

*My other tip is to also find out the correct saddle suited to Friesian horses and buy one. Yep saddles are not cheap, but to have the correct one will make a huge difference to Julius & his riding style. Plus also much better for the rider too. Also you will get to see him Trot, canter and gallop the way Friesian horses really move. They float across the ground when they trot properly and it is so beautiful to watch. It is kinda like poetry on motion 🙂 There are other herds of Friesian's in the USA & in Canada... who you can ask for advise or just ask Yvonne... 🙂.*
