I looked up the African Botanics mask and it’s actually for all skin types! The description specifically stated for combination, dry, oily, and sensitive skin. So, great news, we dry skin girls can use it if we get it as a power pick! 😁

It does have some clay in it, but it also contains skin loving oils. I’m guessing those counteract the excessive dryness that often comes with other clay based products. 😊

I would like to try that blush and small pallet. The Fenty perfume had me excited until you said it smells awful. Now I’m not sure if I should pick it or not. I have used the Banana cream in the past and I really enjoyed so hopefully I will get to pick it. When it comes to the boost item I am always wishing we get some makeup products.

Yea they only seem to give makeup in the boost like once a quarter or so, I’ve noticed. 😢 I am sorry to ruin the fenty for you, but wanted yall to be warned, in case. It might be a gamble. I’d still be curious personally. Kind of hope I get it! 😂

smart of them to include a sunscreen! love when they double as moisturizers. I feel like its pretty unfortunate that they send out discontinued products...shouldn't they send new stuff they'd like you to re-purchase? just a thought!

They keep sending me power picks of cleansers for oily skin and I’m dry, preferring to rarely get cleansers haha. I have to gift them. Anyway, I look forward to your next video.

Hey there. So the power picks are for everyone, yes, and for no extra cost. They started these when they merged with Ipsy. Everyone gets two power picks and then 3 choices of their own. The power picks are the items that Ipsy chooses for you (so they are not customized). They are usually more sought after bigger, higher ticket items, though.

Don’t feel bad about not being excited about this Laura Geller eyeshadow palette. Neither am I. Not only cause it’s such a warm and uninspiring color story but also cause LG eyeshadow palettes are not that good. These eyeshadows tend to look very similar on the eye and don’t have much payoff. I really hope I don’t get it as my power pick.

Hey sure thing! I am just finishing the color wow leave in spray and I like it a lot but it has a funny sprayer on it as all. I also love my tried and true drugstore brand: Miracle 10! And I also really love Evolvh leave in conditioner as well! Hope that helps! I still haven’t gotten to the Christophe Robin yet but I need to try it out more! :)

I was negative, yes. I’ll try to tone down my opinions on my own box in the spoilers, at least. However, if it’s something I think you guys should be aware of, like the fenty perfume, I still want to give you the full info and warnings so you can make the best choice for you. But I have heard from a lot of folks that they don’t listen to their profiles either, even though it’s not PR. At least I could make choices though if I had a second box. I’ve been considering it.

I absolutely agree I don’t think Ipsy uses our profiles or reviews at all. And it’s really making me not like them anymore. I don’t do much makeup. And have most makeup set to rarely. And always rate things like eyeshadow as 1 star. Yet last month once again I got an eyeshadow pallet in both my bag and box.. and its really sad! Because I know most people would be absolutely stoked to get two pallets in one month. But they sent them to someone who keeps begging them to stop sending them instead 🙃🙃🙃

Oh wow you got eyeshadow palettes not once but twice! I would LOVE that! And in the same box no less?! I agree, I had specifically put I didn’t want facemasks and in my very first box what do you think I got?! my preferences are always yes yes yes for pressed powder, eyeshadows, bronzers, make up! I’m getting very little. Face wash skin care and eye patches… it’s a waste of money. Especially since I thought it was going to be actually customized. I will cancel if the same thing happens this month.

Ipsy did it again, 1 power pick along with 90% of my options were makeup. I went back thru my quiz to confirm I have ALL makeup set to rarely.. and the last question of makeup, skincare or both? Is also set to skin care 😑 I sent an email to Support telling them they need to fix their algorithm because this is just an absolute waste of money and products! 😩

I didn't like 1 item in Icon. Loved every item this month. I do not care for Ciate anymore. When I first started high end makeup it was my go-to brand. I would be happy for the Tula. African botanicals is a good brand. That's the reason I said I did not like anything in my icon. It was entirely against my preferences and my skin type.
