Ryan Reynolds is grating and hurts my ears towards the end, he’s TOO MUCH. Basically no plot, the run time comes from prolonging scenes for more Ryan Reynolds jokes and fourth wall teasing. They sort of just randomly appear where they need to be lazily. Soundtrack although funny and ironic sometimes was too just too stupid in the end 😂, like a prayer and bye bye bye was fire. Can thank the budget for cool fight sequences and effects, and Hugh Jackman/Wolverine was great. I also reckon they couldn’t be fked to spend proper money on a decent writer except for the ending because the ending was the only well written part.

Did some catch up with some releases, from what I saw I’d go: 12. Crisis on Infinite Earths Pt. 3 5.5/10, nice to hear Conroy’s Batman one last time, but did you have to erase him? And Teen Titans?! 11. MaXXXine 6.5/10, disappointed me a bit but still decent 10. The Imaginary 7/10, the best of the imaginary friend movies we’ve gotten this year 9. Despicable Me 4 7/10 8. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F 7.5/10 7. Young Woman and The Sea 7.5/10 6. Kill 8/10 5. Thelma 8/10 4. Twisters 8/10 3. Longlegs 8/10, my favorite horror movie of the year thus far 2. The Bikeriders 8/10, I really enjoyed it 1. Deadpool and Wolverine 9/10 I also got to rewatch Princess Mononoke in theaters, first time I watch it in theaters. It’s my 12th favorite movie ever, and it was quite the experience.

Your boy John is being too hard on Twisters. I’ve seen it twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s gotten a lot of people here in Arkansas to actually go to the movie theater which I’d say is a huge positive.

I usually don't dig action movies, but I really enjoyed Twisters! Except for the love story, which was a little too obviously based on 1930's romances. You know what else I love? Arkansas!! Recently drove my mom cross-country, and we overnighted in ARK. I don't know if they had colleges or whatnot, but every tiny town we stopped at in ARK was cute and had great coffee. I'd move there in a heartbeat. Probably because I have centuries of family roots in the Missouri Ozarks?
