Hi Kathleen, I did purchase that Bareminerals duo around a year ago. I have med to light medium olive skin and love it specifically because it is truly transparent, no white or chalkiness, and yet does what it is supposed to do! The one side gives a subtle glow with no color, so it literally looks "lit from within", the other side mattefies or sets the makeup, again with no color.

Meagan Marie I have dry (aging)skin with some texture and visible pores. This and also a YSL compact translucent powder I have, are the only ones I have found that are light enough not to be cakey or emphasize fine lines which smoothes and blurs out my pores at the same time. I purchased mine from a tv channel retailer (Q), if you look at the reviews there ppl either love or hate it. If it helps, that website has a BM rep video explaining how it works. The reviewers that hate it say they can't see anything, but thats the point I like about it!

You are seriously the best... no matter how crappy I am feeling, when I see a new KathleenLights video I get really excited. You were one of if not THE first beauty blogger I started watching 2 years ago when I was out of a job, in a deep depression, and spending too much time at home in my studio apartment. Your videos helped me so much not only by giving me entertainment... but I was finally learning about makeup (I hardly ever wore any before). Being able to go out to sephora or ulta and feel confident enough to think that I even belong in there, truly came from watching your videos and learning SO much. When I started hardcore applying to jobs again I felt a little pep in my step when I knew my makeup was on point... and I needed that pep! I doubt you'll read this but I just wanted to put it out there because I know you suffer from anxiety (as do I) and that when I am feeling down or anxious or just out of whack, I come watch a KathleenLights video (even if I have seen it already). I now have a job, I am starting to kick ass at makeup application (not eyeliner... never eyeliner) and feel so much more confident and comfortable going in to makeup stores and talking makeup with friends (for some of them I am the go to person for questions now... whaaa). I just wanted to thank you and make sure you know how much of an affect you have had on my life by just doing what you do.

ultra blotted lips are 😍😍😍😍 zuma is my favorite. Tip: apply only one layer. Keep it on the thin side. Let dry completely. Don't try to apply other layers it will crack and flake. They aren't meant to be a bold lip just suttle color :)

I actually really dislike the Ultra Blotted Lips, but I like the Blotted Lips! The Ultra Blotted Lips can apply very unevenly, so it makes me want to touch it up in spots, but for most of the shades adding a second layer isn't a great idea. The only thing I liked about them was the fact that they were transfer proof. The Blotted Lips on the other hand were really lovely, you can easily build them up or just do a light layer and they're very comfortable!

The glow shade on the Bare Minerals pallet is super ashy! I used it yesterday and all day I kept thinking that I looked so sallow and washed out and that my makeup looked terrible! and then I realized its because I had this weird ashy cast under my eyes. Not a fan. I do have a medium skin-tone so that's probably why. Super fair skinned beauties might really like it. But the matte powder is very nice!!! more translucent I would say. =)

Im a tan/deep complexion and I use E.L.F HD white translucent powder and it supposed to be use lightly not heavy like powder makeup. try it lightly and let sit for a while...then set it with the spray its works so well..

Kathleen! If you like Blinc products, you should definitely try the Blinc amplified mascara! I am mind blown how easy it is to take it off at the end of the day. Removing mascara used to be my least favorite thing but now it comes out like a dream. It is water resistant since it is a tube technology and it does not smudge or wear off. IT'S AMAZINNNNNNG

I didn't get the color pop satin lip or setting spray.. I got the ofra body illuminizer and my color pop was ultra matte. So my arms are nothing but glitter and my lips are dry... =( On the bright side, I do love the blinc eye pallete

I received this same box and I'm happy with everything except the eyebrow pencil. I felt the same about it being too stiff. The Hello Kitty lip color is called Lock Diary. I thought it was Hello Pretty at first but then realized it was just a cute sticker they put on it. On the other end of the box it says Lock Diary. I have yet to try the eyeshadow palette since I've been trying out my Juvia's Place and some other palettes first. I am intrigued to try it now after seeing the colors on you.

I have medium olive skin and LOVE the bare minerals powder duo. Especially the glow side. I really like mixing them both on my setting brush and just setting my whole face when I'm more tan. The combo blurs and illuminates but still leaves me looking bronze. LOVE LOVE LUURRRVVVEEEE this product! I was so happy to get an extra in my boxycharm this month 💕💕💕

Interesting to see how the boxes slightly differ for people. Like I didn't receive the bare minerals powders or the setting spray which I would've loved! Instead I got an Ofra body illuminizer and bareminerals prep step lotion, but everything else was the same. Still an awesome box though! After doing my bronzer, blush and contour I buff it all out with a buffing brush and the glow side of the Bare Minerals palette. I set it with the spray and it takes down the powderyness

I put the nozzle from a travel size Urban Decay setting spray on the Project Beauty spray and it is so much better! I love the product inside but the original nozzle left big droplets on my face. I love it with the UD one instead, a much better mist!

Emaan Rao try dip brow by Anastasia. That stuff is budgeproof and water proof. You can viciously wipe at your eyebrows and they'll still be perfect. I've also worn it in the pool

I got a body illuminizer from Ofra and an eyeliner. No setting spray or brow pencil for me! Also I got the SPF primer and not the powder duo. I thought it was weird because I thought everyone gets the same thing.

Kaitlyn Bernard wish I would have gotten an eyeliner instead of the brow pencil. It is WAY to dark for my brows. Universal brow pencil makes no sense at all.
