Hi, regarding the budget foundations - it's true that the Healthy Mix Serum doesn't have such a wide range of shades but since the formula is quite adaptable I think it can suit many more skin tones than what people would expect. I get quite dark in summer (at least compared to people around me) and I always find a shade that's right for me. That's one of the reasons why I am a huge fan of Bourjois foundations and I am using them for years :)

Revlon Colorstay is probably still #1 in the drugstore that matches a good range of skin tones. Ivory is paler than any of the other drugstore brands, and there are four or five shades that go all the way to Mocha. It's low enough in spf to last and not flash back.

Know what? I do not understand why not more brands have squishy tubes for their mascaras. I'm not mega-frugal, but mascaras always feel like such a waste. I own the fat brush one, and feel I've been able to use it for much longer than most other mascaras.

I love Neils Yard, they have some amazing products and they smell so nice. Also it's natural so me happy. And years ago I discovered the Eyeko eyeliner and that was the first felt tip eyeliner I really loved.

I am also using the La Rose Posay Effaclar. It's a nice product. I just can't use it on a daily basis. I have recently seen the 'This Model Life' documentary and I loved it. You look like a completely different person. :-)

Completely agree with the GinZing Peel-Off Mask... I LOVE Origins products and really wanted to love this, but i've just it twice now and both times I've felt like it hasn't made any positive difference to my skin :( x

Check out The Body Shop Fresh Nude foundation for a wide colour range. Lovely light formula that's good for all skin types, and a very wide range of colours. Plus their shade adjusting drops mean you can tailor any foundation colour (of any brand/formula) to your skin tone! X

Good morning Ruth. Nail polish...the bane of my existence...I would love to be able to wear nudes/pastels but for some reason they look terrible against my skin tone. I have fair skin with warm undertones and I can only wear dark/bight colours. 'Plumtious', I love your additions to the Cambridge Dictionary. I recently purchased a Margaret Dobs (spelling?) 3 piece foot care system. Her products get rave reviews and I remember you mentioning her as well. My feet are in good condition. (just thought i'D share) but I do have small but annoying callouses on both my pinkie toes. I never wear shoes that squish my feet in fact, I sometimes buy wide shoes to ensure I have room. I don't have big feet either. I'm a size 3. I received a sample of her foot are and within 3 days, the callouses were gone. I stopped using it and they came back within a week. I always leave these long comments because a sub always has great advice or comments. Take care of your self Ruth and thanks again for a good video. xo

I think Revlon Colourstay, Maybelline Fit Me and Loreal True Match have good shade ranges, the Maybelline in 110 is the only one pale enough for me. Although it depends on country as not all carry the full shade range. (I'm Australian and I know the True Match doesn't go up to the darker shades here).

Since your skin is fair and you're using products that work for your skin tone I don't see any problem with showing us those that work for you. Of course it sucks some products don't cater to wide range of skin tones but that's not your fault, nor is it the cosmetic companies' fault (It's just money. They make products that bring in the most profit, whether that be dark tone foundation or fair tone foundation). FYI I'm an asian guy who doesn't wear makeup, but I love watching your videos :D

Not Ruth obviously, but I have 3 of those type of tops from H &M (not that particular pattern) and their sizing is frankly a joke! I am a size 14-16 and have 2 in Large - one is huge and one fits perfectly and one in Medium (which also fits) so the answer is definitely try them on! :))

Do you know if they've changed the effaclar duo formulation in the UK over the years? I used to use it a few years ago and loved it but my skin cleared up so I didn't need to repurchase. Had a bit of a bad skin phase lately so I went to purchase it again and I think it breaks me out! I noticed that it has a + on it now that I don't remember being there before?
