david sedaris, omg. I howled the first time I heard his elf story. on the bus going home from work. playing it on npr. about 5 of us were listening, and the rest of the people on the bus thought we were tetched. saw him in person, and he was equally charming. thanks for the book reviews. appreciate varied information.

I miss David Sadaris on the radio....I first took notice of him because he lived near here in Normandie before he went to live in UK....very good & witty, funny writer.... Nice to see you back again to !!

There are some great ones on the 'Meet David Sedaris' series (sometimes they come up on the BBC) and also he appears every now and again on This American Life podcasts. Recently discovered your channel and really enjoying your posts. Thanks very much.

I loved A Spool of Blue Thread, and am a massive fan of Sedaris. Ruth - if you haven't yet go and see him live and/or get his audiobooks - I listen to them over and over again. His comic delivery adds massively to the experience.

The Bronzer looks very good on you, but I have to say, you rock that warmed-up teint look anyway :). You always look so glowy and fresh. I am just too pale and cool-toned for that. I would love a video about your books and maybe your all-time favourite books. xx

Always love your book recommendations: love Anne Tyler and Sedaris (I always try to find the audiobooks because his tone complements the writing to even great hilarity), will check out The Girls. :) I use earplugs often but I buy ones made of natural wax - you warm them in your hand and they mold them to the exact shape of your ear. Really comfortable and effective. (there are some made of silicone too).

I have to say I don't usually get excited about bronzers either, I mean I use them everyday but they're not an exciting item are they 🤔.. But I'll say I am now interested in popping in to YSL to get that No 1 bronzer. I could do with a nice easily blending bronzer for a fellow blonde. I love wearing earplugs but when I take them out, my ears ache so badly.. Do these make your ears hurt inside at all?

You mentioned something in one video, it might have been in the Sali Hughes video, about something that's really good for blocked pores and you meant to mention it/make a video about it. I can't remember if it was a mask or a particular treatment though. Or was it a Paula's Choice product?

@RuthCrilly8 жыл бұрын
I buy a hard copy if I think I'll review it for the website, because I like to take my own photos! But often I get on Kindle if it's loads cheaper and then always end up having to buy a hard copy too if I love it! ARGH!

earplugs made from wax are amazing! My ears are too small for the foam ones. Wax moulds to every shape and have nothing sticking out. perfect! the brand here is Ohropax.
@philippawood50478 жыл бұрын
Good to know -my ears are tiny too. When I got them pierced as a kid, the guy said to me 'better be careful I don't pierce your face with such small ears'. Not the thing to tell a 10year old haha
