Had trouble with Blythe too on my romas. They are done so pulling those plants. I couldn’t figure out what was going on with my peppers. Well caught it on my outside camera. It’s a rat. I was shocked. Now putting out traps. Thank you for this very video.

Japanese beetles like my okra too! Interestingly I am finding a lot of squash bugs on my okra too so be sure to check for squash bug eggs underneath your okra leaves. I planted my okra from seed and they took a really long time to take off so I may try transplanting next year. Enjoyed the video, thank you! Also my tomatoes do really well under shade cloth when the UV index gets high.

I had similar issues and u have to say-cover crops-both warm and cool season have been a game changer for me. I don’t feel like space is being wasted, I don’t have to maintain, and I have less frustration overall

I love cover crops, but so do the rabbits. I knew sowing that seed would be futile until we get our fence secured. :(

I live in north central Ar. I have had a lot of luck using the soil food web with a lot of the problems you have been having. fungus for water retention and pathogens in the soil pest control. bacteria is the same.but you need a 50\50 mix of fungus to bacteria. woody compost for fungus regular compost for bacteria. i have no problems with any of the pests you mentioned, i had no problems with drought or heat. I keep a root in the ground are a deep mulch all the time never have bare soil. works in ground and raised bed. no sides pest, herb, fungus,or chemical fertilizer. works for me think it would work for you. GOD bless

I live near San Francisco California. My pumpkins are fully orange. Doesn’t look like they’re getting any bigger. I want to use them for Halloween. Should I leave them connected to the vine or harvest and store them somewhere?

Some varieties of sunflowers naturally get that tall. Maybe she can share the name.

It's the Mammoth Sunflower that's supposed to get that tall. But to answer your question, I didn't use any fertilizer. Just a new addition of compost at planting.

The squirrels in my yard love blueberries. So do the birds! I didn't have energy to cover them this year. I only have 2 bushes and was able to have a few snacks in the garden.
