@rachel: yeah, i cut it on my camera on my birthday. a few days after it started to become more prominent on my lip for some reason, but thankfully it's starting to fade. & as for which keirsten books i wasn't a fan of.. I didn't enjoy the mind games duology nor in the shadows. both were just super underwhelming. :(

I just finished And I Darken and it's a lot different than Kiersten Whites' other books. She recasts Vlad as a girl named Lada, but my advice would be to go into it think straight up historical fiction because that's how it reads. I audiobooked it and ended up really enjoying it in a "oh man, now I have to find something new to listen to" kind of way.

I have read three chapters. After reading heavy epic fantasy it is so refreshing to read an author who doesn't get bogged down in technical phrasing and just tells a story with so far really appealing characters. Chilling opening as well

Big books intimidate you? I read a 1200 page book recently. Took me a long time, though. I have a couple of Sanderson's book, and I haven't read them yet. Though what you said about Mistborn has me even more excited to read it! Also, I want your bookshelves. I need bookshelves. But then, all my books are in boxes, since I moved. I should do a big move unboxing series of videos! It's several boxes :)
