Your garden is looking good. I pulled my garlic 2 days ago. The bulbs are now hanging in my shed, what a strong garlic smell when I open the door in the morning! Your flower beds look nice as well.

Beautiful garden as always ❤. This has been my year of trials and tribulations as well. Horrible peas, 2 I believe and 5 % germination.

Watching this was like a replay of our garden!! Our bean poles are equally lacking, as most of the poles are bare due to slugs and earwigs demolishing the beans as they either got transplanted or popped up. I also sowed a whole tray of bush beans, to get only 2! It has been a challenge this year for sure. I also discovered that my corn and peppers have been invaded with European Borer, which has pretty much devastated the crops. I could go on!!! However, other things have fared better, but with the weather and the pests it has been a tough go so far. Oh and we are also from the UK, we live on the other side of Bridgewater.

Thanks for the tour Steve. Everything looks fantastic. I found it very interesting that I also struggled with peas this season ( first time I can remember) and I too am in Nova Scotia . Great video as always !

Thanks for your comment :) Yes definitely a tough year for a plant I normally have no problems with.

The new garden looks wonderful! I like your arrangement. A windstorm came and took out branches from a 20 year old tree, so I used the branches I had to cut for garden boarders and trellis. Use what's available, eh? And I think the natural looking stuff in the garden looks nicer!

Great comment Carla, yes always good if you can use what you have. Gardening shouldn't be expensive :)

I never realized how big your garden is. Thanks for sharing.

And thanks for your comment. The property is just under an acre altogether. I am very lucky :)

Oh Steve, talk about challenging gardening conditions. Here in SW Oregon we've had "extreme heat," consecutive temps, smoke and a wildfire 10 miles from my back door! In spite of that, I still have cukes, beans, corn coming along and some other things that have made it. Good job on your vag gardens!

I remember when we had the wildfires last year only a few miles up the road, definitely scary when that happens.

That garden looks like a lot of work for one guy. I hope you have help?

No all me and sometimes I agree with you :)

I've found coffee grounds and bt (mosquito tablets) help control slugs.
