Question - I have plotted an off track walk comprising of 10 waypoints. I would also like to track my walk in case I choose to explore other things along the way. I intend to use the waypoint manager to give me the general direction of each point then basically just sight and go. My question is: Does the track recording continue while I use other gps functions. Also it’s a 28 km walk over 2 days. After day one we camp. I want the track to be one continuous track. Will i need to leave the gps on overnight?

Hi! I have a question. It has a mini port. I thought his device can operate without the Double A batteries. What's the use for mini port? Could you discuss this? Thanks.

I'd appreciate anyone's response to this, please. After I've created a track and worked my way around the menus to get to and select a button that says BACKTRACK, do I go to the compass menu and follow it the same way I would use the compass menu to navigate to a WAYPOINT? (I'm asking this because the small map on the Etrex 10 is just too crowded and confusing.)

Use the zoom in and out feature, which is the up and down arrow on the left side of your unit, so you can see the bread crumbs and arrow leading you back. The compass feature is an option but it’s better following the map and bread crumbs.
