Jumbos Around Adelaide

Various videos of the 2000-class "Jumbo" railcars around the Adelaide Metro network, filmed between 2012-2015. Some of the earlier footage isn't the greatest as I was still new to doing video with a digital camera. Hope you enjoy!

Transit ticket reader and yes on the 2000 class it was common for them to do this. Near the door there was an actual key hole they could use to keep the doors open. You could also force them open as when teenagers we used to push it open while the train was moving. The doors on the 2000 class had an inside door knob that when pushed with your foot would force it open.

Looks like after some point the orange ones were relegated to always being in the middle of a consist, wonder if that's deliberate because of a refurbishment, or just a coincidence. Is there any footage of the Jumbos at speed?

Should never have been scrapped Engine swap and electric motor instead of hydro, and they would have been able to do 200km/h and run on the Prospector. Shame.
