My arms are also suuuper short. I also thought it was impossible at first but I practiced a couple every day for months (independent of practice) and am finally at the point where I can do it! Just keep at the work!

Hello David, i have a question, im trying that way to make the jump back, but situation is that t let my feets go back (in the baby steps) i need to open my arms (getting more away from my body), and this make me lose my align of shulders arms to the moment i go down to chaturanga. what you think about this? David, my great difficulty for the jump back is that my thighs can’t come up enough to contact my chest, or my legs to satisfactorily approach the hamstrings. What asanas would you recommend to address that problem.

Forward bend poses. Improve your flexibility and loosen up your muscles with these poses that target everything from your back to your chest to your legs and hips. Then you can control the leg.
