Jumping rope is something I want to get better at. I've been struggling on and off for about a year now. I finally looked up some videos and came across your channel. Of course, I have the wrong rope! :( But it will have to do for now. I measured it, tied some knots in it and went outside! I paid attention to hand and elbow placement and... what do you know, I did a quick 20 reps without fail!!! I am geared for success now, and I will eventually get the better rope. Hi. So i've been watching your videos to see how to jump rope the right way. I'm a beginner, actually tried jumping for the first time early this morning, your tips helped on shortening the rope and trying to make sure my arms are in the right position but I 've still got a lot of work to do. I do have a little challenge though,What can one do if you can't jump in front of a mirror or record with the phone to see where the mistakes are?

It's tough without that visual feedback, you'll just have to feel for the form and identify when things drift out of position. As an example, If your right arm is drifting away from your body, you could jump next to a wall or an object on your right side so if it drifts it will hit the wall or object. This will help you identify as soon as it happens. The more you focus on form and technique the faster you'll be able to quickly identify what's going wrong. Keep at it!

I suppose. I would just recommend buying a cheap jump rope over that though.

Haha there in good shape and I Iike em! I have a number of other pairs, just not as good for jump rope.
