im confused have u seen floyd mayweathers jumprope..he uses a really long jump rope🤷🏾♂️
@Jump15officialКүн бұрын
Yes and long is less efficient. It can work, but you will be limited. If you want to jump faster and learn more skills then going shorter is a big benefit. 🤙

your rope seems longer, does that work best
@Jump15officialКүн бұрын
I use a shorter rope. I'm 5'10" and use a sub 8' rope.

This is a video with great advice! I am 64 years old and still go mountain biking. I've been jumping rope (or trying to) for a few years, but my jumping has really taken off (pun intended 😊) since I watched this video. I've read many books and watched many videos, but the advice in this one has been a game changer. My form improved so much in such a short time that I will shortly be starting to follow the advice in your "boxer step" video. Thank you so much for these excellent videos!

I notice your heels touch the ground after landing. Is it recommended? I notice it's difficult when I'm skipping fast or during boxer skip.

My leg vein hurt during skipping and squatting..is it shin splint or other?
@Jump15official10 күн бұрын
Not sure how you can narrow it down to a vein, but sounds like you should have a doctor take a look.

Jumping rope is something I want to get better at. I've been struggling on and off for about a year now. I finally looked up some videos and came across your channel. Of course, I have the wrong rope! :( But it will have to do for now. I measured it, tied some knots in it and went outside! I paid attention to hand and elbow placement and... what do you know, I did a quick 20 reps without fail!!! I am geared for success now, and I will eventually get the better rope. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos! Thanks!

why my rope keep twisting in the middle when i jump, it makes it shorter and hit the back of my head, i try to detangle before jump, but when i rotate it backs to twist again
@Jump15official15 күн бұрын
What brand are you using? It would be tough to tell without seeing, but the brand may be an issue.
@kevin-sj3wt15 күн бұрын
@@Jump15official i use one that available on the gym, i guess it is on the cheap side, its twisted after i rotate and its painful when it hits the back of your head 😅😂

Try getting the footwork without the rope to where you don't even have to think about it, then add the rope. Check the full tutorial on my channel to. Just search - Jump 15 heel toe step

Why do all of these Jumpers call this move the Mick release. Shouldn't it be called the Mike release. Like isn't the point of calling it the MIC release is that it looks like you are dropping a Microphone (Mic). Should be called the "Mike" release. Listen to any rap song and when they say "Drop the Mic" you hear Mike not Mick.
@Jump15official17 күн бұрын
I think it varies, but ultimately was named after the creator of the skill, Mike Fry. 🤷
