I'm starting to practice it like this but because I finally (after about 1 year of trying) got the criss-cross w/running at the same time I'm obsessed with it, this one comes next.

Thank you! I appreciate your advice to build up with speed sets and to get comfortable changing up tempo. I think those steps are manageable. I also like that you did not recommend that I get a skinny speedy rope for DUs. I am using Crossropes and really like them (although the 1/4 lb is challenging to not get tripped up). Also, I really liked the side-by-side videos showing who you and Rushie were modeling your jumping after. Great video! I'll be watching more.

@@Jump15official Update--It took me a long time, but I got my DUs--just a few at a time so far. When I see videos of myself from a year ago, I can see that I needed a lot of work on general form and consistent single unders--just as explained so well here, Kyle! Thanks!

nice vid, if just have to said, if you want to make double unders, you just need to find your own rithym, how? Practice and practice,!! a lot of patience!! but is totally awesome when you make your 1 DB!!

Thanks for sharing, what would you see is the best reason for being able to do double unders? It took me a bit of practice to get them. Haven't done them for a little while though.

They are great for raising the intensity of your workouts. Throwing in 15-30 seconds of doubles will get that heart rate up fast. Does the jump rope play a big role in your fitness? What kind of workouts do you prefer?

I did them a bit with crossfit which I was doing for a few years, but lately I'm using a kettelebell, pullup bar, barbell, and dumbbells which I have at my house.

So for general fitness you certainly don't need to do doubles. At that point it becomes 1. A way to increase intensity as I previously stated and 2. It's another skill to keep things fun and fresh. I'm not a native speaker but I still try to use google to translate those words I don't konw to watch the whole video.Very useful tips dude! I have a problem that I have a sore spine when I jump double unders(height is little higher than single). I've watched many videos about jump rope postures and also take a video of myself jumping rope to check my form. Is there any reason causes this? Muscle strength,Core strength,ground hardness?

It could be any of those, a combination, or none. You may want to have a doc check you out to make sure nothing is wrong cause I haven't heard of a sore spine at all. Take care bud.

@@Jump15official Yep that video is great, different speeds for different heights! Then, you add the faster rope speed with the taller jump, and boom, double unders. Very nice tutorial!
