It is foundations like these that will allow our children to live rewarding lives as they grow out of the school system even if they are unable to be self sufficient. Much like our elderly who suffer from dementia and Parkinson’s, our intellectually disabled offspring deserve to lead lives not with restrictions but with a safety net so that (as Asa has said) they have a softer place to land. To that person, from the father of a family who is benefiting from the support of a similar foundation in another state I thank you. We need more people like you.

It was me...I'm the "one lady" 🤣 I spoke to Isaiah and told him it was that video that brought me to you all. I was amazed at what an amazing big brother he was, and how he cared for Abbie. It was interesting to see autism life from that perspective. Once I started watching the vlog regularly it was so obvious why he is such a great kid. He has great parents and a great sister. I love watching you guys ever day. I love learning from you guys as a fellow autism parent, I love learning from Abbie and Isaiah. Gotta tell my "I started watching Fathering Autism" story. I'm a school van driver. I've been doing it for 8 years now. I've driven kids with autism, and other 'so called' disabled children. 5 years ago, I started driving a 6 year old with autism, non verbal and well, a child that made me want to quit my job. I would get hair pulled, arms scratched, bitten and after the first two weeks, I was ready to quit my job. I spent a year getting shoes thrown at me, spit on and kicked in the head while I drove and had yelling matches with her. I wanted to see if I could find out more about what she felt....5 years later......we're two peas in a pod!

We almost made the trip from NC!! I have a 10 yr old son with autism and he loves watching your vlogs with me. He thinks Abbie is adorable, it's the cutest thing! We lived in Jax for years, so we were going to stop there and see friends then come meet you guys but he came down with a nasty cold last week so didn't want to spread it to anyone.
