I purchased this radio from you and some how one of my switches broke I believe it was when I attempted to open the battery cover. I watched this video and ordered the replacement switch from you. Fast shipping on the part, and 30 minutes later because of your great video my transmitter is as good as new. Thank you as I would have treated the ribbon cables like servo connections your detailed video saved me from causing additional damage. Also i filed down the catch tab on the battery cover. It now requires much less force to open.

I had to disassemble T16 selector switch SE was not working, I had to realign the ribbon cable and this video helped a lot. Thanks for the teardown. While I had it apart I reversed the handle to allow it to fit in a normal depth transmitter case less chance of breaking switches reduces depth by about 1 inch.

Hello, thank you for the great guide how to open the Radio and exchange switches! I would like to make Switch F (SF) a 3 Position switch. I have already soldered in a new switch . The new switch works, but only on 2 positions, not 3. I think this is due to the wrong settings in Global Parameter/HARDWARE. Here Switch F is defined as 2 position switch. How can I change the settings here? Thanks!

Is it possible to shorten the throttle throw on the jumper radio? I am used too a spektrum radio which has a shorter throttle. Thank you.

You could possibly mod the gimbal for mechanical stops, then re-calibrate after for the shorter throw to be the new min/max. A new set of Gimbals is cheap enough to try LOL

anyway you guys would entertain a T16 faceplate swap tutorial? I just received the carbon fiber design face plate and it looks like it might be a complete teardown to swap it out? or pretty close to it

Oh no, I have accidentally shredded and broke the 5 little black wires that are plugged into the gimbal. It wouldn’t come out so i applies too much force and they’ve broken. Replacement gimbals online don’t come with the cables/plug, am i screwed?

Wish I had seen this before I butchered my radio! Anyway, maybe I missed it but I think the orientation of the ribbon cables matters. Take a picture of the switch/cable before disassembly and make sure it goes back correctly.

I was wondering if anyone has any idea if you can replace a gimbal with 2 dial type inputs? I have a qx7 im converting to a pistol grip style controller based on the qx7 pistola from thingiverse, but i dont want to loose the 4 inputs, and would like to basically split 1 of the sticks into 2 dials. im converting it to use with ground vehicles. Specifically i have a ground vehicle that after the conversion the right stick will now be a trigger and steering wheel, but i would like to be able to control a arm and a motor on the other sticks inputs without having a stick.

My T16 does not appear to receive Trainer input. I connected it to my Taranis. When the Taranis is set up as slave and the T16 st up as master, the T16 does not respond. But when I set the T16 as slave and the Taranis as master as a test, then the Taranis receives the signnl just fine. Are there any issues with T16 receiving trainer port signals? What can I do to rectify this because I want to use the T16 as my daily driver?

Loving my T16 (yes bought from you guys!) but I’m having a hard time learning to use / program it. You’d setup for me a bind switch and a momentary switch (bought with beta75x combo) so you have to hold the momentary switch down then the arm switch, or it won’t arm. How in the world did you do that! I can’t figure it out while trying to setup other quads. :( A new T16 video tutorial idea perhaps? ...as the two switch setup to arm is awesome / super safe!

Pro tip: "duplicate" the model and use it as a template for switches etc on other quads you have. that way they are all setup the same and you dont have to guess the switches for each model LOL also the prearm feature is a setting in betaflight modes tab.

@@graysonhobby The thread is correct but stock Futaba switch nuts have a larger OD on the base than stock Jumper. May cause fitment issues for SA - SD if 3rd party hardware is the same as stock Futaba.

the T16 already comes with jumper TX - a fork of open tx.. very similar
