Croatia is so magnificent and just a 2.5 flight from my country (UK). I am hoping to get back here for a 3rd time in late September. I travel there alone and I have always felt safe and respected. The water is clear and blue and warm, the people lovely and the weather reliable. Dubrovnik old town is simply enchanting. I bet you will return there one day, most people do. Once you get the Croatia bug! 🙂

Didn't realize you could get there that quick from the UK, nice! We will definitely come back and visit some lesser visited places and probably spend more time on the islands next time :D

@@JumpingPlaces it's better in late Sept when tourism has subsided considerably. There is a tiny island off the coast of Cavtat. It has a restaurant on it called St. Pietro. It is heaven on earth. Lots of cabanas and the finest food. Also beautiful water to swim. You get a water taxi there and spend half a day eating relaxing and swimming. When I was there their fisherman brought a huge swordfish ashore over his shoulder for their restaurant. Recommend going there. It's quite an experience

@@JumpingPlaceswhen you're back checkout Kaštela next to Split airport. Actually the airport is in Kaštela. It has a beautiful coastal walk with beaches and a mountain back drop. Trogir is also right next door to the north and it is a gem. It’s world heritage like Dubrovnik but smaller. You have Šibenik. A sleepy fortress city with river Krka adjoining the Krka national park and then Zadar an ancient fortified city with surrounding beautiful islands and the Velebit mountain range with it's amazing coastline. These places are more affordable than the south which is of course beautiful.

@@JumpingPlaces And it is also a really safe country to live in and for tourists to visit. It ranks 14th in the Global Peace Index's 2023 ranking - positioning itself below Finland and just above Germany. This is especially important as many areas of the world are sadly getting more dangerous, but it is also the cause of overtourism in safer regions of the world.

Thanks again Carol and Chris, for your beautiful video about my home area. I am happy that you liked the 3 island tour. You could have spent at least a few more days here and visit the beach in my village of Mlini (the beach area that you could see from your window), and the romantic town of Cavtat. Then there is the peninsula of Peljesac and the island of Korcula, but for this it would be the best to tour around with a rental car. As i told you before, if you ever come back to Croatia, i would be honoured to show you around for FREE, because you guys deserve it! Just drop me a message.
