Hey, AJ! Dig your channel. Thanks for the schooling. Just got 8yo grandson a crf110... his 1st bike & full Fox kit. Would love to get him a 1/2 day training at Ultimate or Irondog. Summer moto camp at Irondog would be sick but, he's gonna need sponsors too! Hahaha! ✌️

You mentioned braking up the face of the jump. How so? Front, rear, smooth up the whole face, mostly at the bottom of the face? Clutch in while breaking and off the lip? Curious what the technique is there as this is where i’m struggling. Also timing the jumps like camera man cam.
@RTRGotmud2 жыл бұрын
I agree with Kyle here, I'd love to hear more input. As an older rider that hasn't been riding long scrubbing is not something in my trick back so I also tend to time jumps. When I don't time them and charge I end up having to think fast and brake tap to correct. I used to chop throttle at the top of a jump and that never ended up good, so I'd be nervous braking up a face would result in the same butt pucker. I'm very interested in further input on braking up a jump face.

Would love to see a vid on HOW to charge the jumps & jump while off of the gas on a 4 stroke! Body position, sus preloading/absorbing, etc. Any chance you'll hit Kahuku MX located in the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii on your world tour? If so sign me up! Thanks for the content 🤙🏻

Used to go by that way of hitting jumps, hit them hard and back it down. But after a big overjump and 2 broken legs, 2 months in a wheelchair i really struggle to learn the lenght of new jumps.. Stopped riding for 3 years and just started again and its a pain. Mental part of it is a bit-h. Any advice on how to overcome this fear i built up?
@AjCatanzaro2 жыл бұрын
Takes a lot of time! Progress on jumps that are very forgiving, so if you make mistakes it won’t be catastrophic. Takes months and months

I always used to shift in the air or on smaller bumps when the bike unloads so it goes into the next gear easier. Rather then on the ground over choppy bumps.

The last thing Cam mentioned about extending his arms out, I noticed all the pros and fast guys do that when jumping, why do you guys do that ?
@jimmygritz97142 жыл бұрын
That must be a HOT 250 motor if your wanting him to shift ton4th right there ..I only hit 4th on the straight after the stop. But that’s a 350 that makes all the power ringing it out. Is the new Honda real torquey like the yamahas now?

The pro vs am series is awesome, but I wish you would've explained your thought process a little more on this one AJ. As in, charging hard and allowing yourself to coast off the take off which naturally keeps you lower while in the air, which means overall much quicker. Alot of benefits to be gained from charging jumps that aren't talked about.

@DADSGETNDOWN2 жыл бұрын
See, I think doing as fast as you can means, full throttle all the way, all the time, even up, through and over a jump face. I think that causes looping out right ?
