Ha ha ,welcome to the life of solar. If your struggling with charging your batteries in the height of summer, how do you think your going to go in winter. I live in Australia and you need a backup petrol or diesel generator , when the system doesn't charge. As to your statement the solar will pay its self in 6+ years,I'm sorry that's rubbish. As Australians are finding the generous subsidies for power back into the grid ,are being removed and are thinking of charging customers. As to solar panels , there being junked at such a high rate , their being used for fencing. I should know I've just been given 8 × 1000 watt panels & another rack of 6 panels., plus 12 2 volt batteries. As they have installed a brand new system 40k, and they still require to run the generator, to charge on cloudy days. Yes it works , but don't be dependent on it 😅

There is no you can be realiant on it year round in England. Where still grid tied so we also pay for electric we're not off grid. I think it would be nearly impossible to be off grid in England the weather just is good enough year round. But like I say in the video even with the poor weather we had im saving well over £100 a month. Plus here export prices are rising not falling which clearly helps the payback as well
