lagniappe just means more or extra. It's a word I learned from @tnog511 What you all are referring to is the radish that I allow to go to seed and I eat the pods. That's the more/extra. I will post a video of how I make the tea. If I’m having body aches or maybe the sniffles I mix up what I call #shotoflife instead of running to the medicine cabinet. Ginger has a lot of the same benefits as radish. I personally add the ginger as a natural pain reliever and settling the stomach. Coupled with radish, this is why I use it. Radish pulls mucus from the deep sinus so its good for respiratory disorders like asthma and bronchitis. It’ an Antioxidant, a great source of vitamin C which is a natural body defense, fiber which helps with digestion, potassium help lower blood pressure, it helps with diabetes, it has anthocyanin that can help with the heart, It’s good for kidney, glucosinolate which is a natural detox for liver, gulbladder and lymphatic system. If you have thyroid issues and have been advised to avoid eating raw broccoli, kale, strawberries, and certain soy products you want to avoid eating radish raw as well. All these plants contain Goitrogens . 1 whole radish, a finger of ginger diced up into a cup of water and blend to a pulp. Pour it in a pot and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and cover with a lid allowing to steep for 10 minutes. Add the juice of 1 whole lemon and raw honey to your liking. Pour in a shot glass. #shotoflife🙏🏽

The wife and I are looking for 5 to 10 acres now, but it is hard because I want it to be the right location. I have young boys, and I'm trying to stress the importance of growing for your family. Dont care if they aren't into it, but I told them when im dead and gone at least plant one vegtable yearly in my name as a way to connect with me. Right now, I have my trees in 26 gallon containers, so when we get our property, I can just transfer them into the ground. I appreciate your videos brother keep them coming. Nice land, by the way. This is my new favorite channel. I have been a gardener for years, I love my flowers., but I struggle growing vegetables and fruits and oh my goodness you should see my blueberry bush! So sad compared to yours. I’ve had them in the ground for three years and this year all the leafs fell off. This year I’m growing sugar snap peas, beets brussels sprouts, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, winter squash, apples, corn, my own lettuce, spinach, and herbs. There is definitely a learning curve to having your own suburban garden. I love the dryer tumble idea and I’m gonna break out some kaolin clay because we have a major Japanese beetle infestation. And I need to start using whey because every year my zinnias get crazy powdery mildew and neem oil doesn’t work… anyway thank you for having a channel and all the awesome tips. Your plants look phenomenal. ❤❤❤

Thank you for such a warm and thoughtful message. Patience is the key. As long as you don’t quit you will never lose. As for those blueberries 🫐….. lol 😂 I can almost promise that if you follow my growing medium video you will have far better success. I can promise you that! I have kaolin clay in my shop if you need it.

Really looking forward to your video on fruiting lemon trees. I’m in 9b and I have a 3 year old Ponderosa that’s about 10 feet tall (untrimmed) which is yet to fruit and a couple of 2 year old Meyers which are currently fruiting. Thanks again for all the great info.

I'm not sure but the person I got my lemon seedling from said it's a ponderosa. It's been in ground for 4 years grown from seed. Handles cold down to 8 degrees so far and his tree is well over 20 years old in ground in Georgia zone 8A

I recommend watching some of James Prigioni’s channel. He does a lot on square foot gardening and I think your set up would be perfect and could really increase your yield. Lovely garden and its clear how well you care for everything.

Thank you so much for sharing your garden with us. It looks so interesting and well cared for, envious as here in the UK we would struggle to grow so many of your plants. Not peas and radish though!

I have the grass not just for the look. The more roots in the soil the better diversity of microbes. The grass is more of a living mulch.

@@growingoutthebox nice I agree with that. The water table at my place is super high and heavy clay so I’m trying to build up the soil in this area and increase drainage. I have 3ft deep raised beds here and put a thick layer of wood chips down every couple years. The raised beds are a game changer here.

This is my first time looking at your video. I really enjoyed it. Even though it was a tour, I am so thankful for the little tips and planting explanations you give. I'm down the road from Linda, In my area we pronounce lagniappe the way you use it. Will be waiting on your next video and check your previous videos. Love the neatness of your garden. It's letting me see mine can look the same way.
